Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
My dh is now rethinking what to do on our just us trip. With the price of the AP going up he says we might do UNI only if Avatarland isn't going to be open by the time we're planning to go. He says it won't be worth upgrading our tickets to APs. :( and he can't see paying for 2 day tickets. I guess I'll just have to keep an ear to the ground. LOL that will be my excuse to spend some extra time here over the next almost 10 months:)

It has been so long now I can't put my finger on how long ago Avatarland was first announced and still so far off in the distance. I had that same feeling about Fanasyland Expansion. I was in Circus shortly after it opened and remember being most impressed by how pretty the colors of Dumbo was and the peanuts in the sidewalk but for the most part that section was just a remodel.

Don't fret too much yet. Maybe after the family trip is complete and a few months have passed he might have a change of heart for his kid-less trip. Mixing the expenses of both in his head just might be too much in his head at the moment.

Too funny, first he'd have to find the kitchen. The running joke in my neighborhood is if the women ever vanished there'd be lots of deceased deer, dirty paper plates and a wood shortage due to grilling and smoking not to mention bad taste in clothes
I read "dirty diaper plates", which....eeeuuuuwww. But aside from that, it's so true. I was gone for 2.5 days and came home to a dirty house, hubby fed the kids nothing but junk (seriously...he gave them "dessert day" 2 days in a row, which is when he takes them to the store and lets them each pick out 3 or 4 desserts or junk food items to have as dinner...chips, cookies, chocolate, ice cream, soda, etc...that was dinner...and lunch....and breakfast, for 2 days. The other meal he took them out for fries and chicken nuggets.), he didn't replace the milk that he couldn't tell if it was good or bad so he dumped it and didn't tell me to get new...I discovered when I went to make the egg wash and breading for the baked chicken yesterday, and he left DS's wet towel and dirty soccer clothing from Saturday morning in the gym bag, so when I went to get him ready for practice last night, his bag REEKED and his soccer stuff was all dirty.

I hope so. The only way we'll do Disney 2017 is if we do the upgrade while we're there. I have 10 months to work on him(feed him) LOL

I agree, Disney is getting too, too expensive for those on a fixed income. But, I can go to Disney, stay at DVC and do other thing then the parks, everyday. We will probably not renew the annual pass, after this year.
For the price of an 8-day vacation at WDW, we can take an 8-day Caribbean cruise with four ports of call. That is more appealling to us until they get more of the construction projects done at the parks.

This might be a little out of order. Friday, I took the train to Utrecht, met up with a friend and traveled to Den Haag. It was a bit nerve-wracking because I only had 4 minutes to catch my connection in Arnhem to Utrecht and my friend was getting to Utrecht at the same time on the train I was supposed to take, so I was just going to join her on the train she was already on. But my train to Arnhem was a couple of minutes late and I missed the connection, so I had to call her and she had to get out and wait for me and we took a slightly later train. But we made it and then we went to the Mauritzhuis, which houses The Goldfinch, if anyone has read the book about it. Then we went and ate cupcakes. Saturday, we took the tram to Delft and spotted the old church on our way to the boat tour. So we went into the old church which has the crooked tower. I love the stained glass windows.

The old church is the one where Vermeer is buried, along with some other important Dutch historical figures. And there is a cool old bible from the 1400s. DSCF4279.JPG And then we took the boat tour. Here's one of the rich people's houses with all of the windows to display their wealth.DSCF4283.JPGHere's the tower of the old church.old church.jpg
