After dinner we walked around the mall, and of course ended up at the Disney Store. I really wanted to buy this (and it's actually more lavender than pink):

Had dinner with my DD tonight - it's always nice to spend time just the two of us. We went to this place called Lazy Dog - good food and service, fun atmosphere, dog pics everywhere. I had the sesame crusted ahi tuna with cauliflower mash, roasted veggies, with coconut curry sauce and cilantro. Pretty yummy! Not best quality tuna, but decent. DD had chicken parm, but didn't get a pic of that.

That looks good but sounds too healthy, I would have gone with chicken parm. Maybe I will make some chicken parm tomorrow. Today hubby is smoking ribs.

Happy farm market Saturday! BTW I'm shouting how happy I am. It's horrid here, 39, pouring rain and windy as all get out. So why am I so happy? Easy, I'm here, which means I have power! YEA! The storm is going out to sea, again yea! On and off rain for the next few days, but we shouldn't lose power. My farm market will be open and I have errands to run most of the day. No worries as most of them are happy errands. Our library is having a used book sale, almost all the books look like they've never even been opened, one year at the spring one I a got the current edition of Birnbaum's with all the coupons still in it for our trip. The other reason I'm happy my dh turned the heat on before he went to bed, I was expecting to wake up to a frozen house. Have a most magical weekend!

Farmers market sounds good, in off to a craft fair soon. A little jealous of the library book fair, our library is really small so all of our books for sale are on one shelf and super used. I love the library though, I'm just glad we are part of a bigger consortium (part of a five county system) so there is a large variety of books to order from.

We are turning on our heat today too, it was 36 here this morning.

Our library is less than a mile from our home so we borrow movies often. (We just got done with Father Brown season 1.) Twice a year they have a major book sale to raise funds for different programs. Imagine table after table at a book sale big enough to fill the SciFi. The sale runs three days, then after the third day they save whatever books are in good condition and they go into storage for the next sale. The ones that aren't the best and leftover magazines go to a paper recycling company that pays the library an amount per pound.

Our local university donates a lot of books too and every year there are almost new text books and they are sold for $2! (Everytime school ends the university alumni bring an empty semi trailer on campus for a weekend and the students fill it with whatever they don't want to take with them. The alumni go through everything and donate it to various charities. All books go to the library.) I usually go to the sale and fill a couple boxes with cookbooks. Of course whatever I don't really want for my collection gets donated back to the library.

I'm sure the cat love is some good therapy!
Cats are wonderful when you're sick. They feel they must take care of their human.

The day of my surgery, cat kept looking at me worriedly, like, "My human is hurt!" She basically spent the day on my lap. She's since calmed down, although she still follows me around and usually is in the same room with me.

a bit raw, isnt it?
I usually prefer it broiled or seared (the borders)
