Thanks!! I keep finding more disney "friends" and adding to it. It's amazing how many we have accumulated!

We usually decorate it with sports stuff and stick it in our bay window. But we got new furniture this year and where we normally put our real tree, won't work. So that will be in the bay window and I put the new and improved smaller tree in the kitchen.

I really don't like decorating for the holidays, but this one was actually fun! :)

New furniture is what keeps my monorail from being under my tree these days. :(

I've never been a big fan of Disney Worlds Quick Service Pizza. What I learned from Twitter today.

They also had Beaver Tails!!! So they might be gone from Canada's Pavilion but they are still out there.
They are available in the Byward Market in Ottawa. Best ones ever!
Just ask @Monty.

If anyone has school aged kids in Texas, get out now. They are changing history textbooks.

Ha! You're pretty darn funny. From all the conventions I've attended, the Texas School board always gets everyones attention when they are adopting curriculum. It is always a political battle over the spins of history and other subjects. Where my board adopts curriculum on the this is overall the best for our needs Texans actually can get publishers to hype or downplay the text.

I don't worry about the kids. They have parents that clarify their stance to their kids, much like I have when something is a bit too slanted. I am Catholic and I have taught my children other opinions beyond the views of the church and their religious ed, birth control and womens roles.

It comes down to parenting not text books. When all is said and done Austin Texas has one of the best Universities out there so no matter what this Kooky board does they fall in the median in comparison to other 50 states and WDC. They get a C which is what the overwhelming, vast majority of states receive.

Yep, we can be Mutt & Jeff! I'm not being proactive in my healing. Been breaking down my summer stuff and storing. How are you healing?
The one blessing in disguise of being sick was that I've actually been off my feet, so my ankle has had a chance to heel. I get around the house quite easily without my brace, but when I go out, I need it. Last night, we went to the National Aquarium, and after about three hours of walking around, it was absolutely throbbing. It's not nearly as bad as my last sprain, in part because 1. I got off of it immediately 2. I got the right brace on it immediately and 3. I know how to treat it now. So it's more of a nuisance than anything right now. I'm just being really careful with it. I have absolutely no idea how last time I did it I managed to walk around WDW for several more days and shovel snow the week after that.

We are going to Hilton Head in December (leaving December 23), so I'd like to be pretty much on the mend by that time, as in on the brace sparingly and doing some of the exercises I learned in PT. Hopefully it'll be warm enough so that I can swim some, although even the hot tub should help. My goal is to be completely done recovering from this by the time I go to WDW in January and to still be able to take ice skating next semester, so I'm taking it quite seriously.

no surprise why so many people prefer to home school or use online schools.

Oy. In my area the overwhelming majority of home school students are for religious reasons and the vast majority of those are from one mega church that was formed in the late 1980s. Kids are educated at home to isolate them from 'other' types of children and adults and social life, teams, music etc are all formed by the church. The latest trend is online college for these students.

Me, not a fan.

Thank you. Much appreciated.

So, what's actually goin' on is that she can't keep any food down, and that's why she's loosing weight. They already have a boy and a girl, ages 14 and 13, respectively, and, as such, this wasn't exactly planned. She had a little of this problem with the sons pregnancy, but, not nearly as severe. They are givin' her food and vitamins intravenously right now, and there has been talk of a feeding tube. The Drs. would prefer not to go there, 'cause of the risk of infection, though. All are still tryin' to figure out what the best course of action is.
They're doin' OK, considering, and our visit and support really picked up their spirits. :)

Thanks again, and please keep those prayers comin'.

How far along is she?

I heard of a lot of poisoning from food coming from china. I'm surprised they still allow these stores to sell these tainted products.
Reminds me of the famous 2000's report of how many chinese factories converted industrial waste into clothing.

I know many a cat and a few dogs that are not with us. Walter was only a babe when they were dropping like flies.
He ate non sugar people cereal and gold fish crackers for treats.
