Glad to know it wasn't just me who thought that. My funeral experience is pretty limited, and my mother HAD asked us to put her 2 secret recipes (poppyseed bread and seasoning salt) in the booklet for the funeral so she could keep her promise to everyone that they could have the recipes when she moved or died, but I didn't think that opened up the hotline for recipe requests. But it's nice to know that someone else views it as inappropriate, too.

Yeah, I guess she must have figured it was OK since those recipes were in the booklet, but like you said, it's not like she was at a wedding and the band was taking song requests!

If you can get it, the best way to watch the Godfather saga is to get the one that was edited and put in real time sequence when it aired on TV years ago. It started before the place where the original Godfather began and through to the end. It's easier to follow and is, in my opinion, much more enjoyable then the piece meal way. It does, however, take about 6 or 7 hours if I remember correctly.

Apparently it was aired on AMC in 2012 in HD, so I just missed it by a few years. :(

We've stayed in a family suite at ASMusic twice, and loved it...! :)
That's where we were originally intending to stay. My daughter and I are really into music and my son loves it, too, though he's not really involved in MAKING music the way we are. But the deal I found is only for moderates and deluxes so I picked the cheapest of those. If it's already full for the dates we want, then we revert to plan A, ASM.

I quite agree, though one person came at me at my mother's funeral to ask for the recipe for the zucchini pickels. She wanted to be sure to get that recipe while she could, since we were planning to move here and she didn't want to miss out. I hardly thought my mother's funeral was the place to be asking me for recipes, but apparently they are REALLY good pickles. Then, because I ignored the request, (I found it a bit...inappropriate timing which did not make me want to help her out) she tracked down my aunt in another town to write to me to get the recipe. She was very determined, so I can only assume they were very good pickles.

Did you ever give her the recipe? You should make some and take a picture to taunt her. Just kidding.
