If any of you seasoned Disney veterans have tips, I'm all ears. I've been reading blogs for the last couple of weeks and I've learned a TON. I've only been to WDW myself 5 times and I thought THAT was a lot. I knew NOTHING compared to some of these bloggers! I'm a total newb! I have taken notes and made lists of all the cool tips that I think we can use. I've never heard of Dole Whip, but I think I read that it's Pineapple flavor, which I don't like, so I THINK I can skip that particular experience. (Don't shoot. I know, that's on the verge of blasphemy)
I like the plain Dole Whip. It's nice and creamy, with no lactose or milk.

It was ok, not close to the spectacular brownies offered in some of the best bakeries in my city.
But decent.
very easy to make!
Id give it 3 out of 5.

Looks good. All this talk about brownies makes me want to bake. Maybe I'll wait until I go back to work on Monday, then I will bring treats to share so hubby and I don't eat them all. We are starting our Disney diet soon.

Thanks! It's a great forum here! What is the one thing you wish first timers to Disney knew? Something etiquette-wise, or an easter egg that most people miss, etc?
I'm a chocolate fan myself. I'm dying to try the butterfinger cupcake from starring rolls!!

I always tell first timers that they can't do it all and just take some time and relax and enjoy the details...shady benches are friends. This is my personal little easter egg, there is a window on Main Street that has my last name on it so I pretend it is my window. I can't think of any other little easter eggs right now. Now that I think about it a lot of my tips to people revolve around food..... Speaking of food the butterfinger cupcake is good. I do prefer the chocolate peanut butter one at Starring Rolls. When I went in March there was a chocolate mint one that was just fabulous....mmmmmm :hungry:

Last night was the back to school picnic for my DD. I work at her school as a lunch supervisor (there is no central cafeteria, kids eat in classrooms), and I will be in her room again. Very happy becuase I love her teacher, and this is her last year. Also, over summer, they installed a water fountain right outside the room. A regular one, and one of the fancy ones that fills a water bottle! No more sending kids half way across the school for a drink!

I never got into the whole cupcake thing. Too much icing for my taste. But school bread...Yum!:hungry:

I don't get what people complain about on Splash. My last several trips were all in June and we always ride it several times each trip and I've never gotten more than spritzed:confused:

Lucky girl. I got soaked in WDW on Splash in March and hubby got his shorts soaked on the DL version a couple weeks ago. I like the ride but I just don't like the getting wet part especially if it is my shorts, it just makes it so uncomfortable for walking.

What time is it? It's (short) RANT time . . .

Why is it that some residents never get called for jury duty, and people like me have been called 3 times (over a period of years)! Supposedly it's a "random" selection of residents in the state, but I'm crying foul. I think the courts have a secret database of people who have filled out the juror forms correctly before, and have shown up on the date they're supposed to--and the state just keeps asking those people to come back and be a juror again.
So sorry, that happened to me also. Hubby never got called.

My DD and I went to Cracker Barrel yesterday. Had the sampler platter that also came with 3 sides. So Ham, meatloaf, chicken dumplings, carrots, broccoli and of course hashbrowns casserole along with biscuits and corn bread. We got through almost half of it. So yummy. Our favorite is the hashbrowns.

Mmm, I love me some hashbrown casserole. Ok, I think most of my posts this morning have revolved around food. I should probably eat something....
