We were on the highway (no exits anywhere near in rural-ish central Illinois. Both sides had separate tornadoes going. Far enough not to hear but close enough to experience some of the secondary weather. It was pitch black mid day, like wearing sunglasses at night dark. The rain was so intense. My DD was in her library basement, we had just left her a half hour before. The tornado hit south of her jumped over her University which is huge and plopped right down again just north of the University. I have been blessed not to have been in the direct path of one. One of our members here and on this thread at times @akayw0718 was on the road too for that storm going between her parents and her new home. Her folks house was hit.
So sorry for her. We had a roof torn off, back in the day in Indiana, Mom and Dad's house. We were at the Drive In. But , Mom and Dad's house was hit more than once. I think tornadoes are really creepy!

Last year was AP English, Calc B/C and Physics, which is now divided in 1 and 2. Next year is AP Stats and AP physics Calc based. The English I am actually worried about. The work load for that one class almost killed him last year, so he is taking a comp class and Speech instead. There are no Honors classes available for English after Sophmore year. He may very well be going from complex analysis to a primer on how to write a sentence. If it is, that kid is going to be bored.
My senior year, was fun...as I had met the school's requirements. I worked in the office, for one semester. There was nothing left to take. So I had the last half of senior year, art music, advanced biology, advanced history, and study hour, (it was required, I had nothing to study) talk about boring.
