AP Chinese, AP Computer Science, Calculus, Intro to Engineering, Philosophy, and an English elective (for the first semester) called "The Dead and the Undead."
Glad to heae that you're not taking too many APs. I think the single mistake students tend to make is that they take too many APs and don't do well in them. And then the actual college courses for those classes turn out to be a lot easier and take up way less time. Three should be the maximum IMO for AP classes. Especially in your senior year. Like it or not, you will get senioritis the second half of the year. It will happen. You swear it won't but it will. There's a reason when I took AP economics I got a 5 on Micro but a 4 on Macro... Micro came first.
Oh boy... I feel like the process is going to be very stressful. I've already got a lot of things that I need for college since I attended at Pre-college at CMU this summer.
It's really not that bad as long as you come up with a schedule and stick to it. If you haven't done so already, pick at least three colleges that you want to apply to (first choice, second choice, safety). Do not apply to just one; look at a few of them. You never know when one will come through with a free ride or an excellent merit-based scholarship (which you sound like you qualify for). Your safety school should be one that you know you can afford and get into. For the other two (or more) don't worry too much about the price tag; apply and see what they offer you. Then when decision time comes, pick the one that fits your budget but also fits your needs.

Make sure you check out if your schools use the Common Application. It saves time.

I had a good reply. I really did but the website won't let me upload the clip. Anyway picture the footloose scene from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Great analogy! And all wasn't lost on the clip not uploading, after you posted that I went to youtube and watched, well 'cause one you mentioned it I had to watch it again. Great scene.

my new phone came in today. Question is do I want to buy a Disney case or something else? Most Disney phone cases are too girly

I've never had a Disney Case. I've yet to find one that really protects my phone, they are cute but cute doesn't help when it hits the concrete. My DS ordered one that is not Disney but my interpretation of its looks is a cross between Star Wars and Spaceship Earth.

So he wouldn't let his kids keep their participant trophies.

Can you imagine if Run Disney only awarded metals to the winners??? That would likely be the end of Run Disney.

I came home to find out that my boys received two trophies for nothing, participation trophies! While I am very proud of my boys for everything they do and will encourage them till the day I die, these trophies will be given back until they EARN a real trophy. I'm sorry I'm not sorry for believing that everything in life should be earned and I'm not about to raise to boys to be men by making them believe that they are entitled to something just because they tried their best...cause sometimes your best is not enough, and that should drive you to want to do better...not cry and whine until somebody gives you something to shut u up and keep you happy.‪#‎harrisonfamilyvalues‬

Last August I bought a Bosch dishwasher. I really like how quiet it is and how it doesn't release heat into the room. What I like the best is that 3rd rack slammed up on the top. All that tiny stuff I was never able to put into a dishwasher. Wish I had that 3rd rack when my kids were babe's. It took me a while to wrap my brain around the $1000 price tag though before I finally took the plunge.

Here you go, Gabe! This is a lovely Kenmore dishwasher for price comparison (from thepeoplehistory.com). By the way, do you also smile sweetly like the lady in the photo below, when you load your dishwasher?

1959 Portable Dishwasher

Yep! I love playing video games and playing with computers. When I'm not playing, you can find me watching traditionally animated movies, mostly from Disney but sometimes from Warner Bros. or Don Bluth.

Welcome to Chit Chat. There are many wonderful people here of all ages, and we all have a good time. :)

Since you like computers, I thought I'd mention that we have two people on this Chit Chat thread that are very knowledgeable and share your interest in computers. There is Cesar R M (who is technically brilliant, and he works with computers for his profession) and there's StarWarsGirl95 (who is also very intelligent and excels in college) and she's familiar with the latest tablets, phones, laptops, etc.
