Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
Oh boy... I feel like the process is going to be very stressful. I've already got a lot of things that I need for college since I attended at Pre-college at CMU this summer.

College shopping was not hard for my DS. He knew where he wanted to go. He was wrong and transfered to a different University. My DD was all over the country. UConn being her top choice beyond her reach schools. When it was wittled down to two out of top 10 she was accepted to they were Tulane and University of Illinois. She didn't decide until the very last night-commitment night. She had a great senior year though visiting all those Universities, my Sister even took her to the 4 she was accepted to in Ohio. Got to see a lot of the country that year. Have fun with it. My DD words of wisdom...eat in their cafeterias. Not the special meals for admitted students but the everyday grub for students.

Wow! Thinking of NOLA/Tulane, it has been 10 years since Katrina.
Indeed... I experienced both Katrina and Wilma, albeit the former hadn't yet turned into the Cat 5 storm that decimated NOLA and was only a Cat 1. I had to live outside my house temporarily after both storms. South Florida has been really lucky with tropical storms since then, but everybody-- including myself-- feels like something big is coming eventually.

Yep, we feel the same about earthquakes out here in California. So far, so good, though. :cyclops:
