Ha! True. And the news today of the Old Farmers Almanac was the statement: The Hiatus of Global Warming is likely over and the Winter will see a more severe form this year. I swear my eye balls were spinning. The over analyzing of year by year weather. Now it was a mere 18 year hiatus of gloabal warming. I wanted to pinch someone. Just did know who to pinch. I just commanded to the TV screaming stop it already. Wonder what these same peeps would say about volcano's that take hundreds of year of hiatus'.

I'm hoping the El Nino will bring me a mild winter, we already have a serious groundhog shortage in my neck of the woods!!!!!

Thanks again for indulging me, gang. I know it's no Disney trip report, but, Port Aransas is very special to us in a family history way...!

I really enjoyed all your pictures!! What a great place with so many cool things to see and experience down there. The sand dollars are a unique sight. And, oddly enough, I have always liked those car ferries. (I've been on one from Lake Champlain, Vermont, to Plattsburgh, NY.)

Your dad is so much fun! I like the ocean, too (although haven't actually been there in recent years), but when I was a kid, my mother used to call me a fish--I never wanted to get out of the ocean!! Hope you, also, got a chance to play in the surf. And, thanks for sharing all the pictures. We like pictures of all vacations here!!

My happy dance continues! Seeing we are getting APs for UNI my dh is thinking about adding a few Disney days to our 2017 trip if Avatar Land is open when we go.

Ha! Never heard of it.
I Googled it (of course!). Apparently it's a regional U.S. saying - often followed by "spoons in your bowl", meaning hands in your lap.

My generation called it "Indian style". My kids' school called it "tailor fashion".

This is all way too complicated for me. Can't they just tell the kids to sit down?

This is for "floor time". You need them sitting a certain way, so that minimal space is used; no one is stretched out, invading someone else's space; no kid decides to actually lay flat and snooze; no one pokes, prods or otherwise annoys anyone else.
Very complicated business indeed.

Yes you are correct they are right side up. This is good because now you don't have to worry about taking time out of your first day there exchanging them. You are ahead of the game!
