We've done it a couple times. Turned out good! We brined it in salt water over night and then injected it with garlic butter. It was tasty!

Replied to wrong post - obviously, but still happy, happy, joy, joy with the deep fried turkey!! :D
Thanks for the idea. My ex is actually smoking the turkey then into the deep fryer. I gotta admit, I bought a ham in case he blows the turkey up. :joyfull:

They usually blow up because they are still frozen or have way too much moisture in them. Since he's smoking it, you should be in good shape. Just make sure you have plenty of propane. You don't want to run out of gas half way through it and have to toss the bird out... :hungry:

Lights are done! And the first 4 ornaments are hung.
Later Peeps - like noon, later.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I bought a tree with lights built in..less hassel
This was a pre-lit tree. $400 - so not a cheapie.
Year 1 - one string burnt out.
Year 2 - one more string was burnt out when I set it up, so I bought a few loose strings and just over-thread them. Before Christmas day, another string burnt out.

Last year, I cut out all the pre-strung (mostly euchred lights at this point), and bought all new lights.
This year, I decided to zip-tie these new lights permanently in place. Won't know until next year if it actually was worth the effort.

This was my third pre-lit tree. First one was great. Second one was garbage, so I decided to buy a pricier model, which turned out to also be garbage. Luck of the draw, I guess.

Ahh, that is horrible. I have only used mine once and now I am worried.
