Yes, a small tumor on my adrenal glands. It was removed too.

I wanted to reply to my answer. As it's not clear even to myself, My tumor was benign, as those on the adrenal glands, Doctor's call them tumors here if benign, and cancer if it's malignant. sorry if you all miss understood, it wasn't my intention. They had to take those out because my body was not functioning correctly. Affecting two organs. I still have a tumor (benign, at the base of my skull). I get a yearly MRI, to make sure it's not growing too large. They can't really do surgery to it, as so many functions are so close...walking, breathing, etc. If it grows "That's All For Now Folks", it hasn't grown for the last 6 years...so I feel confident it will just be a nuisance. I can't sleep on my back, for example....or I wake up from a pounding headache, due to hours of pressure. I've taught myself to sleep on my side, ha! Enough of my medical issues...I do as I've been taught take one day at a time....Thanks to all for your concern...I'm really good! And my trip to Disney proved it to me.

And Mother Nature wants to remind us that she is in control as another mega storm rolls through Northern IL this morning and will shortly threaten the parade and rally at Soldier Field this morning.

I'm really sorry, I love parades. I hope you can have it before the storms. Just stay out of lightning!

It's a combination of several different flavors like barbecue, vinegar and jalapeño. Supposedly the result of an accident. They're very tasty.

I'll bet. That sounds like a tasty combo.

No cicadas this year, but, when I first moved here, 4 years ago, I thought I was going to go deaf. It was like listening to the old dial up internet 24/7. It was funny, however, to watch the general reaction to the old body shells left behind. No one was really sure if it was a live bug (pretty good sized) or just the remains of an old winter coat. My point, which took me forever to get too, is that I can do without those critters nicely.

I guess when you grow up with the sound, it just seems comforting.

I have to agree. I wouldn't mind snow if it was 80* out.

Funny, that might actually happen this year with this crazy weather, Colorado (high desert), looks like Florida, my onion sets are drowning. More strong storms rolling in this afternoon. Hubby wants to check out sink hole insurance, ha ha.

My Mom hung the phone up, after I was on for 15 minutes....all through high school. Mom was way too strict. Of course, I got 20 minutes, if it was a girl. Boy, no way....

Street lights were few and far between where I grew up. For goodness sakes we weren't locked in the house, it was just preferred to be in unless we had a campfire, which was often.

LOL Thank goodness it's the land line! No cell phone for him until his birthday next month! He's going to be a pay as you go, I pay the base rate he pays the rest!
