Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
So true on all accounts. The one thing that always frustrated me was that men's pants not only come in waist sizes, but also length sizes, but not women's pants!! I always have to get pants shortened when I buy them. :banghead:

Nordstroms had always hemmed women's pants for free as they did men's, even children's. I don't know if that is still the case but it saved me some $$ over the years. There sales are good and while they have a few departments with very expensive clothing most is pretty much in line with other good department stores.

@Cesar R M , I just asked hubby what he spends for his hair cut. (He goes to a local. old-fashioned barber shop.) He said it's "gone up" to $16. HA! :p BUT, the barber still gives him free peanuts while he's waiting! :hilarious: I think I get gyped at my beauty salon with high prices and NO peanuts!!
What hair I have left does need an occasional trim. The place I go to charges $12.00 (if it's cash, but, only $12.50 if not. That's standard rate not just the wide part kind, like mine). That includes hair cut (any style), brow trim, shampoo and shoulder massage. They have peanuts as well and some very attractive young ladies that actually do the hair cutting. (oh, yea... and a separate TV in every barber location.)
They just went up from $11.00 a few months ago. I was some upset! ;)

Not to make you feel bad, but, some of the men that come in there have very thick hair as well... same price!

I'm thinking it is more of a type of demand thing. Men, who spend a lot of time on their hair and are concerned with every hair being in place usually go to Salons like women do. They pay the long price. Most men don't care about what their hair looks like as long as it is trimmed and easy to care for. Thus, less picky less cost. As @JenniferS so cleverly wrote... the difference between a good hair cut and a bad is about three weeks. Or something like that...

For the record I like my photos and I felt like everyone here does too. Do I take great photos? I don't know. I know I enjoy posting them and I'm having a hard time posting daily since my son and I are going totally commando in the parks. I'm having so much fun and I feel like you all happy with what I post.
I really appreciate the info Cesar gave because I want to know if my phone is going to die.
Thanks Gabe for sticking up for me but Cesar was just being nice and candid (no pun intended), with useful info for me.
I liked your pictures. :)

I get my haircut at a salon because I've had too many bad haircuts from barbershops. However, even at the salon my last few haircuts have only been $10. It usually costs $20 but my last few cuts I've just gotten the sides and back shaved while I let the top grow out.

There is a great differential between what women's base charge is and guys, even for women who have very short hair. Many charges are like that. Many cleaners charge double for women's dress shirts over what they charge men.
Women's Levi's are generally $20 more then men's even though the material in men's Levi's is superior. The list goes on..........

Yea, I don't even know what DWifey and youngest DD pay to have their hair cut/done.
And, I'm OK with that. It's probably for the better that I remain ignorant, regarding such... ;) :cyclops:
