Please indulge me... I applied for, and was chosen to be one of the community bloggers for our town's convention & visitor's bureau.

My first blog went live this morning - please visit and if you're in southeastern Wisconsin, please visit us - it's beautiful and there's always something going on!

The video was very nicely done highlighting places of interest, and your daughters (the stars of the video!) are cute. This sounds like a great new job you have, and one that uses your creative skills in writing and also in media. :)

You could be the next Samantha Brown. That would be an awesome job.

Speaking of Samantha Brown (per your comments to ItingriBella), I really miss her shows. I thought she was the perfect host for the travel shows she did, and not just for the Disney shows, but other locations as well. The last time I saw her on tv, she was on some shopping channel promoting a luggage line. What a letdown; I hope she returns to hosting travel shows.

This was one of favorite experiences here at WDW.

I love all your pictures of horsies!! They're beautiful and majestic animals. No wonder you enjoyed this experience so much while at WDW. I really like the more laid-back atmosphere of Fort Wilderness. :)

I'm considering going to the D23 Expo in August and taking my first trip to Disneyland, but first I need to see if I can work everything out with my schedule. I was thinking the other day I would really like to go and then I thought "you know what, I should just do it." Considering my lifelong obsession with Walt Disney finally going to Disneyland would be almost like a pilgrimage for me. I would have to go by myself but I can handle that. What do you guys think? Should I just do it?

I've never attended D23 but over the last few years I've read quite a few trip reports and tweets about it along with many lifestyle website reports about the highlights. Overall it seems D23 has some years that are better than others and the organisation is better over the years. Just do your homework, know when to line up to get into the events you have picked out as that seems to be a problem that has occurred over the years.

I think you would really enjoy it and many many people do it on their own, sometimes meeting up with other members out there from time to time. As for Disneyland, for us WDW fans it is sure a place to visit at least once, it does offer a different experience. It will be crowded during the D23 time so if you can try and schedule yourself some extra time before or after D23 to catch all the attractions you want to see. I grew up with Disneyland as in my early childhood there was not a WDW. It is also where I spent my Honeymoon. Thinking you would have the time of your life.

We didn't get to feed the fish, but when we got over by the fish and the alligators the gators got agitated and started thrashing around. It turns out the guy that feeds them walked into the room while we were there and the gators thought it was feeding time!

Funny how critters adjust to their surroundings. I was in Animal Kingdom on a day that it was open an hour later than usual. All the Giraffe's had already queued up at the gate that I had never noticed way back on the set of the Safari. They know when it is feeding time and time to move to their night quarters.

As for the lady bugs, I don't get it. I buy them but Disney could easily buy them in bulk. My curiosity makes me wonder if there is more to the decision to not release the ladybugs on the tour any longer.

Bloomin' Onion :hungry:

One weekend my DD was having a pretty rough time with the workload away at college. I transferred money to her account told her to order Outback filet etc, a bloomin' Onion, get on the bus, pick it up and when she got off the bus afterwards pick up a frozen yogurt which she loves also and she would feel better after her tummy and mouth were cheered up.

As much as she loves steak she really enjoyed the bloomin' onion. Multiple times after she ordered just a Bloomin' after she made the trip to Target which was next to Outback. She said it made the bus smell yummy.:hungry:

I always get nervous before a trim! One very bad cut and since then I need a cup of chamomile tea to get one!

Yep, you never know when they are going to have an off day with your head of hair. Mine turned out real pretty this time, very happy. Me, I'd be hard pressed to spend $115 to have my hair cut by her again. Ouch. I have a very generous gift card from one of my clients from Christmas so spa day it was.
