Usually, I am the same way. Except I like my job and my paycheck, so that is usually my motivation besides my bladder.

Although lately I have been working from bed since I haven't been feeling great, so I roll over and grab my laptop and start working.

Though I have zero issues going back to sleep. Once I fall asleep the first time, I'm done, and if I wake up, I have no issues crashing again. I'm the person who needs the obnoxious alarm to wake up. Or an 18 pound cat to stand on me.
Has your cat lost weight ?

So we woke up this morning to no heat on the main floor. I was working from my room, but it got fixed while I was working.

All the sudden, I felt like I was having a hot flash. Thermostat upstairs said 74, which means my room was probably closer to 78 and I was wearing a heavy sweatshirt.

Got the heck out of there, told Mom to go fix it because I had no idea how to with that upstairs thermostat and whatever they did downstairs, and went to the basement. It was warm down there (which it never is in the winter; it has its own heaters) so I opened a door which lets in cool air and now it's cooler.

Considering my aunt normally calls me "little cold person", I think it must've been hot. Should've asked the Echo; I keep forgetting the one in my room has an internal thermometer.

So this morning I went out. The temp at 10am was 27 degrees but we did have a strong wind. It was cutting right through me. Me, the guy that used to stand outside of the base lodge at Mt. Mansfield ski resort in Stowe, Vt. in sub 0 weather with an open jacket, no hat or gloves wearing cloth sneakers and felt just fine. Today it was so bad I had to convince myself to get out of my car when I got home because I didn't want to make the 25 feet to the door of my apartment building. Of course I was 14 years younger then so that might account for the difference in reaction at least a little.

O.k. I know I shouldn't have laughed, but I did. ;) Think you should embrace the cold whenever you can, because you really don't want to lose your Vermont "edge" with all this! :hilarious:

Winter (I hate it) for coastal SC it has been cold 27 night time temps and 35-40 during the day. Fireplace is going all day long good thing I cut firewood. We may see some snow flurries today chance of rain and temps will hover around freezing. We have 4 feral cats the wife feeds I keep the heat on in the greenhouse and put an opening so the cats have a place to sleep. Put some old moving blankets they all sleep there.

At least she's not dangerously close to being obscene in this one. Just as a friend, Minnie, seek help. Cold is evil and to be avoided at all cost.
