I knew some who bought " arrest me Red " sports cars. My cars are more of metallic grey exterior that I wash and wax on a regular basis and clay bar 1x a year. With wash, clay bar, wax, ( all Meguiars products ) the surface of the car is smoother than a baby's butt. My next project is detail cleaning under the hood for that also to be looking good.

Yea, I’m 61+ years old, and have heard about “arrest me red” for the vast majority of my life (along with things like don’t buy a car that came off the assembly line on a Monday or Friday, etc.), blah, blah, blah and I don’t care…if I’m spending that kinda’ money on a vehicle, I’m not buying it in a color that looks like half-treated sewage or s**t.
To each their own.

Sounds like a good plan. No Trader Sam's though! I agree about quick service being good at DL and I like your choice of Cafe Orleans. I haven't been to Carnation Cafe in awhile but we have a reservation for it on Aug 8th. I don't know if we will keep it though. We are trying Centrico this trip since it is new and has gotten good review. I missed the boat on getting reservation for Din Tai Fung but I keep looking. When I was there over Easter I went to the Hearthstone Lounge and really enjoyed that. One of my must do's though is the Carthay Circle Lounge, I love the lettuce wraps and my favorite drink there is the Tequila Daisy.

Also if you do have a car the Anaheim Packing District has some fun places to eat and drink. We had a ton of fun at the Blind Rabbit. We also really liked Strongwater which is a tiki style bar but very different from Trader Sam's, it is just a couple blocks away from the Anaheim Packing District.
I might have to try Trader Sam's after I go to Knott's because I keep hearing about it and I can't really take B to a bar when he's with me (he doesn't drink and would be begging to leave. I am also going to WDW for a bit by myself in January and am planning on Oga's for the same reason, lol). We did Carthay Circle restaurant last time and weren't big on it. The menu wasn't really our thing, and the service was SLOW. I might go into the lounge, but I kind of also want to go to the PIM lounge thingy at Avenger's Campus.

I absolutely LOVE Carnation Cafe, so much so that I might do it once for breakfast and once for dinner. I believe we went there three times last trip: twice for breakfast and once for dinner. Their breakfast is SOOO good (the omlets, OMG), and there's nothing like eating while watching people go down Main Street. I did it twice in one day when I went out there with my bff several years ago. There is no understating my love for that place. I also gotta get to Cafe Orleans for a Minute Cristo. That one also may be a twice one, because I just looked at their menu, lol. Céntrico looks interesting too, but I was planning on getting Mexican in San Diego.

I won't have a car in Anaheim. I currently have it scheduled to get in San Diego airport and return in Anaheim (with my WDW AP discount, it was actually pretty reasonable renting a car). I am unsure of I'm going to keep the car, although the drive from San Diego to Anaheim is so gorgeous that I am very tempted to splurge on the car, and it would also mean I wouldn't need to worry about how many pieces of luggage I pack. There is no sense in having it in Anaheim, though; if I really need to run someplace, I can take a Lyft. I'm planning on doing Lyft to Knott's.

Just got back from a TSSFFBR.
What’s with the recent (last couple of years…?) trend of folks buyin’ expensive new cars/vehicles in colors that look like gray water or even untreated sewage…?!?!?!
I wouldn’t even buy an “inexpensive” car in those sick colors (unless maybe it was deeply discounted…? 🤔;)).
If I’m layin’ down the jack :greedy::greedy::greedy: for a new Porsche, I’m gettin’ it in whatever color they have as close to Candy Apple Red as possible…!!!!! :hilarious:
Seems to be a nationwide trend too, that I just don’t understand at all……. :cyclops:

Two 1/2 years ago, I got a (3-year) lease on new car (nothing fancy or more expensive like the ones above). The only colors available were silver or white. Dealer told me that any other color would be some sort of special order, and would take quite a while. Hence, the car company was only pushing out the more neutral colors, as they knew they could (not only get them in) but push those quicker off the lots. (This was also back when covid was more prevalent, so receipt of any cars, and any parts, was also delayed.) Hence, maybe the more subdued colors sort of "trended" after that. As for the jeep above, that is a puke color! :hilarious:

Just remember that you can make reservations for Trader Sam's and the go QUICK! As a single though you might have decent luck walking up, but specify that you want to sit inside at the check-in desk as most walk ups get seated outside. I've done walk up a couple times and was seated outside and there is usually a singer in the evening so that is nice but not the same as the antics as inside. My B and I did walk up on a whim in March and actually wanted to listen to the singer but we were surprised by being seated inside and it was a prime time too. I gave up on the Carthay Restaurant when they took the biscuits away after Covid, those were my sole reason for going to the restaurant even though I love the decor and the vibes. That I why I like the lounge, I can have better food than the restaurant and still have the atmosphere, I listen to the Carthay background loop to when I take my bubble baths to relax. Pym's bar area is okay, I usually grab a beermosa from the quick service and relax in the area watching for characters. Three different times I did that and Loki appeared and he's my favorite so I was happy.

Carnation is great for that Main Street vibe. I got to meet the old chef Oscar a few times and he was a lovely man. Our reservation is set for 20 minutes before the parade so that's why we might keep it. Cafe Orleans is my favorite at the park, the monte cristos are so good and I like that it is served with the pomme frittes (or salad) now. I went to Santa Barbara with a friend a few years ago and after I wanted to go to Disneyland so she extended her trip to come with and she is not a Disney or ride person at all (although she and I have been to Epcot a couple times and she took a trip to WDW with her family that I planned out for her) and I was so excited to take her to Cafe Orleans and she looked at the menu before and said it looked good. She wanted to sit inside because she was cold (it was early June) and she only got a cup of soup, she said everything else seemed too fatty. o_O:(

I'm sure you will have a tons of fun and hopefully you'll share some pictures when you go.

I actually prefer silver color for my cars. Both cars I've bought myself were purposely silver. I always say I'm driving a "silver bullet"!

I'm fine with silver, too. (Prefer to "blend in" with traffic and not have a brighter color. Also, I'm a lousey driver. :p ) I can understand that folks who buy pricey sports cars or other unique styles, would select specific colors.

Oh yeah, well I paid a humongous $28K for my 2019 Tornado Red VW Jetta R-line and I wash it when it needs it, which is only when some soon to be extinct bird (if I see it) decides to use it as a target for unwelcome droppings. It has stayed the most vibrant, shiny color for the past 5 years. I don't know what has kept it that way, since it is outside in the very hot NC sun for almost all of those years. I get comments on it all the time and remarks about how much I must have to do to keep it looking that way. I thank them for the compliment and yup it sure is a chore. I've had people that park in the same parking lot tell me how they are afraid to park next to it for fear of accidentally hitting it with their car doors. I cannot honestly tell you why that particular car has stayed looking like new and only needs a bit of rain to wash all the dust off it and shine brightly. I has never had any special treatment and is just as it came from the factory.

Nice, usually the hot sun overtime fades the exterior from other cars in my area that owners just don't care about washing / waxing their vehicles. One unique thing I saw was when a car owner at the Walgreens parking lot in Sarasota was feather dusting her pristine 30 year old Jaguar convertible. She took so much pride removing the dust even admiring each side of her car. That Jag owner really kept her ride in great condition. The state where the car culture is religion to some was in Southern California when I spent many a time there.

IDK, has color blindness been identified as a Covid symptom, or residual effect…???!!!!! 🤔🤣:hilarious:
I’ve never had a problem with silver or white…Carolyn owned a silver Mustang back in the day and our Grand Caravan was white.
I just don’t understand the putrid colors that vehicles are bein’ offered in these days, and folks are actually scoopin’ ‘em up…!!!!! 🤪
I remember when the color beige was bad enough, and frowned upon by most folks…!!!
I’m not losin’ sleep over it (there are plenty of other things goin’ on that contribute to that ;)), but, I. Just. Don’t. Get. It……. :cyclops:
It’s like the people in charge of this stuff at the car companies are in some back room, laughin’ maniacally as they come up with these nasty colors, just to see if consumers will bite…and, obviously, many are Lappin’ it up.
I face palm when I see some dude proudly drivin’ a brand new Porsche Panamera in the color “Baby Poop Green”, but I also shake my head and chuckle, too…!!!!! :hilarious:
For as far back as I can remember, my Pop has always said that if you marketed and packaged dog crap just right, folks would buy it.
He was proven correct as far back as the early 70’s when bronzed buffalo and cow chips (close enough to dog crap, in my view ;)) were kinda’ popular for a time as a novelty.
I remember walkin’ through this department store we shopped at frequently in San Jose called Mervyn’s, and there it was on the shelves…all I could think was “Pop was right…!!!”…..!!!!! 🤣😅

It's a trend started by Telsas if I remember correctly.
They gone from white to sand and grey now.

The colors of cars now range all over the place to downright wild. Some execs tend to drive vehicles to work with understated colors .Some of these execs leave the Ferraris and McLarens in their garages for a weekend drive. There was a CEO that we knew whose company was struggling but he was still well compensated with annual salary / bonuses. He wanted to be below the radar and when he bought a new Audi that he drove to work. He purposely bought the new model with the same exact exterior color and wheel package. He did not want to attract unneeded attention in his reserved parking spot at work in that he bought another fancy car.

When I was driving back and forth to the office every weekday, I saw Teslas by the dozens, and never once did I see one in the nasty colors I’m referring to.
Traditional gray colors aren’t an issue for me either, it’s just the new putrid gray colors, like the color of the Porsche I posted.
Again, to each their own, but it just makes no sense to me.

Approx 25 years ago I worked with a peer who bought a brand new PT Cruiser. She loved her new purchase and she even bought screwable eyelashes that were installed above both headlights. It fit her personality to a tee.

Just did my first weight check since I turned 24 and started working out daily, at 175. For reference, I was 209 in April.
Keep up the great work. That's how I changed my life after getting scared straight with bloodwork numbers and a number of peers and friends with heart issues and some dying young of heart attacks. Portion control, limit sat fats , cut out fast food , drink lots of water , green tea , daily exercise is the way to go. It is a grind but a grind that I am willing to go through. Some family and friends go the weight loss route with some dangerous fad diets and or expensive weight loss drugs. You should be able to feel a difference in your energy level . Obesity is an epidemic in our country and that's not the road I wanted to continue to go on. Food is your medicine so later in life medicine will not be your food

So, drive a “Baby Poop Green” Porsche Panamera during the week to the office (as if nobody with half a brain will even know it’s a Porsche Panamera, because of that color…?!?!?!), to “lay low”, and then drive the others your talking about on the weekends only…?!?!?!
I’ve seen plenty of these cars (pictured below at a local restaurant we attend during the week) during my weekday commute, as well…who does that guy think he’s fooling…???!!!!! :hilarious:
A McLaren and 2 Lambo rides…

The CEO's Audi exterior color he daily drove to work is dark grey. Hardly an eye catching color.
