I've been watching WMUR (New Hampshire) coverage of the eclipse up there. In the farthest northern town (Pittsburg, NH) I think they're close to about 8 minutes now to totality.

Update -- Pittsburg, NH in totality now.

Here where I am in MA, it's getting slightly darker, but our area is not in the main path of totality. I think I heard we might get (up to) 70%. Anyway, I don't have those glasses, so can't really look up at the sky.

It was 91% in RI so probably a bit more than us

The Munsters Koach was a hoot! (Did you happen to hear the commentary that Butch Patrick (aka . . . Eddie Munster) visited that replica, and I think they said his autograph is inside it somewhere.)

I didn’t know that tidbit about Butch Patrick, but that’s cool, and sounds like something he’d want to do…!!! :)

Oh, you can count on that. :cautious: People gawking out their car windows while driving on the highway; others trying to take a photo out the window with their phone, while car is moving, etc. (Not to mention, the idiots who take a photo of the eclipse with their phones, can wreck their lens on the phone. A special filter is needed for phones.)

Yea, we were emphatic with Matthew this morning, before Carolyn dropped him off at work, about him not using his phone to take pics and to make sure he put his eclipse glasses over his regular ones.
Fortunately, the clouds cleared just long enough for he and his coworkers to view it…!!! :)

Beyond cool -- top of Mount Washington (6,288 feet), NH -- totality (Edit -- forgot to mention that it was in the ballpark time of Pittsburg, NH).

I was watching some show this morning, and supposedly, animals' eyes aren't affected by the eclipse. It only applies to human eyes. (Has something to do with their history of living/surviving in the outdoors. I don't have any scientific reference for this - just passing it along as a general fyi that I heard, only.)

Speaking of pets…
Belle, Ranger and Pumpkin napped right through the whole thing…!!!!! :hilarious:

It looks like almost dusk here in NC mtns.
I was unable to see any difference here in central NC. What little I was able to see was no more than what resembled a fingernail on the north side of the sun. I noticed no difference in lightness and the sky's were crystal clear. I feel cheated and since it is said that the next one will be in 2317 it is going to be a bit of a stretch to wait for that one.

So, about mid-afternoon a delivery guy showed up from the medical supply company with a bedside commode and new shower chair for MIL.
While he was inside, the bottom dropped outta’ the sky. I’ve seen it rain that hard only one other time since we’ve been in this house.
He would’ve gotten soaked to the bone, even going from our garage to his van.
I offered the dude a Coke, and we watched Adam-12 on MeTV for about 20 minutes, while also conversing about old TV shows, before it cleared enough for him to take off.
Unexpected guest…I’ll just blame it on the eclipse…!!!!! :hilarious:

Glad that there's something to watch that occupies her for a while, and that you can both enjoy the game together.

Thanks, Minnie…!!! :)
Her hearing and eyesight are pretty bad, so it helps if we can be there to kinda’ help with the play-by-play and questions.
Between tonight and the 27th, they only have 3 days off, so I’ll be watchin’ more baseball than I have in a very looooonnng time…gonna’ hafta’ beer and hotdog up…!!!!! 🍺🌭:hilarious:
