On another note…
It’s pretty crazy seeing our old, remodeled house for sale on the internet, and the price they’re asking for it…!!!!! :greedy::hilarious:
Is it those CA residents moving to TX for lower COL? Austin has been referred to as Austinfornians . A one bedroom in the Mission district ( not exactly a safe area in Frisco ) is going for $800K.

The highlight of the auction, indeed…!!!!! 🤣

The only one of those you listed that I didn’t see was the Aston Martin, as it was probably on the block when I made my Mecum auction TSSFFBR…!!!!! :hilarious:
My fave of the remaining 3 you listed is definitely the red Jag E-Type. At our first house in No Cal, a neighbor down the street had an early 60’s model.
I had never seen one before, and it was love at first sight…!!!!! 😍

Not a fan of the replicas, unless it’s something silly-fun like the aforementioned Flintmobile, or the Munsters Koach below…!!!!! 🧛‍♂️😅

Can't believe they did some of the cars for wacky riders of Hannah Barbera.

The Munsters Koach was a hoot! (Did you happen to hear the commentary that Butch Patrick (aka . . . Eddie Munster) visited that replica, and I think they said his autograph is inside it somewhere.)

Taking an “Eclipse Day” here…!!!!! :hilarious:

Not sure about Austin, but a reporter on TV just said the last time DFW was in the path of totality was 1878, and the next time won’t be until 2317…!!!!!

Probably, as the same guy bought and flipped a home 2 down from ours to a Cali couple a few years back.
We were in that home for 33+ years, and raised our 3 kiddos there. It’s crazy to think what we bought it for in ‘90, what we sold it for, and what is now being asked for it…!!!!! 🤪:hilarious:

It’s sad what’s happened to SF. We visited many times when we lived in No Cal (‘68-‘76), and it was always so beautiful. That city is now run like crap (literally)… :(
Along with being closer to our granddaughters, Austin being run similarly is just another reason we wanted to move further away from it.
Asking (and getting, I presume…?) $800K for a 1-bedroom in the Mission District is just messed up on so many levels. Just going for a walk, you’d be dodging tents, human feces, etc.
HARD PASS.
Back in ‘87, my buddy from the east coast and two of his coworkers (from IBM) were living in a 1-bedroom walk up (3rd floor) at 75th and Amsterdam in NYC. They broke up the rent in such a way that the guy that paid the most got the actual bedroom, my buddy paid less for a windowless storage room, and the other guy paid even less to sleep on a fold-out couch in the living room. There was another storage room with a window that was unoccupied, where Carolyn and I slept when we visited. None of them wanted that room, as the window was off of a busy street, and even with the window closed you could hear people, vehicles, sirens, etc., all night.
At that time, buildings in Manhattan were being renovated from south to north, and they were about two blocks north of the latest renovations.
He took a cab to the airport to pick us up, and when we got out of the cab at the front of the building, there was a guy selling crack on the front stoop…!!!!! :hilarious:
They were paying $1800/mo. for that dump, which they thought was a good deal, but it was an unfathomable amount to Carolyn and I, especially in ‘87 when we were paying $325/mo. for a 2-bedroom apartment in our former, nice northwest Austin neighborhood…!!!!! 🤪🤣
