That's a cute story actually...❤️
Thanks! I don't know that I would dare to do that anymore in this day and age...but back then, those things were relatively new and predators weren't using chat rooms and MUDs as hunting grounds yet. There were certainly some creeps, but there were creeps in real life, too. But I'm glad I met my husband when I did.

Yeah, where I am is about as far away as I'd do it. Considering how long it takes to get out of the Hippodrome, it's probably like an hour more of time spent, but the ticket savings are worth it.

They've also got the touring production of Shrek coming, so I'm trying to talk Mom into that one. 😂 It's not coming to Baltimore.

Mom and I are going to see Celtic Woman tomorrow at the Hippodrome. There's this thing called Lucky Seats. Basically, you go into a drawing, and if they draw your name, you can buy tickets at insanely reduced prices. I've won it once before, and Mom won one time. And I won for Celtic Woman, which absolutely shocked me because they're doing one show, so my odds were not good. So we're going. No idea where our seats are, but it should be a good show.
Oh that's so exciting! Celtic Woman is great! Hope you have good seats. Enjoy!

What an amazing way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!! That's great that you were able to get those tickets to Celtic Woman. Enjoy!

My brother also visited Mount Airy some years ago, just out of curiosity. He said it was pleasant, but that was about it. (He recently moved up to Virginia. Luckily, he had already crossed off Mount Airy from his bucket list!) ;)
Beautiful areas with very friendly locals. We drove through the Blue Ridge Mountains and at high elevation our ears popped . Can’t imagine driving in those mountain roads in snow and ice. We visited in the summer time. The snow I like to see is on TV . Grew up in snow and cold climates and many moons ago moved to warmer climates.

Bought premade Irish corned beef dinners last night. They were made by a local grocery store, and they were excellent -- all we had to do was heat them up! :hungry: (I didn't eat the cabbage though, because I hate it! 🤮 )
Wait, you don't buy a brisket a month ahead of time and........................... Never mind;)
Glad you found something that worked for you
I bought corned beef, welp a few from the grocery store

Just watched Post cards from Ireland (Celtic women) love the music wish they would tour the states like SC
This was the 20th anniversary show, which I believe a DVD exists for.

They did say that they had just been down south and were grateful that Baltimore wasn't humid. 😂 Well, not right now it isn't anyway...

Not sure where down south they'd been, though.

We are too. I've had a headache off and on this weekend because of high tree pollen. 😞😞
