I've been using PCs since I was 3-4 years old. For the life of me, I cannot figure.out Macs. I sit down to one and I'm just like "Da heck is this?"
It is likely that I would the same problem with Macs now days since it has been a very long time that I use pc computers.

My start in computers happened at School with them being Apple II computer. My school experience with computers before college was different Apple Computers before my senior year in high school. The first Computer I personally used outside of a school was a Performa 575.

Next computer will probably be a gaming conputer. Also Windows, because Macs do not game nearly as well.
Not a bit surprise. I thought the Apple II computers were the closest thing to a gaming computer Apple had. When I had a Performa 575, there was not exactly a lot of gaming software for it.

Hmm. You can always check D ick's Sporting Goods if you happen to be in there. I've found O's gear in there. If not, they'll probably have it at the park.

Yeah, none of the games I own are compatible on Mac. And I have spent a lot of money on PC games. So next PC will be a gaming PC. But that will probably be a Black Friday purchase.

Having had more than a little experience with that type of situation when I owned the level four nursing home. It is a heart breaker when someone has to finally realize that they took on a chore that they have had very little experience in and, even worse, really don't have the time. When a loved one gets to the point where they can no longer care for themselves, even though their family loves them dearly and really don't want to place them under someone else's care, one must realize that they are not doing that person a favor but burning out in the effort to not do the unwanted and up to that point unimaginable.

When my wife got sick all of her family was living in NC and she was by herself in Vermont. My girls decided to move their mother down here where they could better monitor her condition. My son in law and myself flew up to Vermont, rented a U-haul and moved her down here. We had owned that home together, in fact, she was an RN and the business was primarily her operation, and the last thing she wanted was to be placed in one and my daughters felt the same way. However, they also had busy lives and it was impossible to provide the round the clock care she needed. My wife had been a very active and had been a very intelligent and caring woman. However, that didn't negate the fact that she no longer could take care of herself and the girls had no facilities or abilities to care for her. She managed to be close by for around 3 years and then she had a stroke and it was pretty much over a year or so after she moved into a care facility.

I know it is a very hard decision, but sometimes it is just something that has to be done for the health of everyone. This, of course, is my opinion and everyone has their own feelings about the situation. I know that in spite of my hatred of the thought, I have told both my girls that I love them and I love that they have said, no way, dad you are going to be taken care of by us, that when I become a heavy burden I would be very, very unhappy to know that I was causing the people that I love stress, lack of sleep or constant anxiety. Put me someplace where I can make people, I don't care about, worn out and tired, but at least getting paid for it and can go home and rest after eight hours while someone else takes over as a caregiver.

SORRY... I posted all those massive number of words before I went on with the thread and therefore have repeated some of the thoughts of others and obviously thoughts that you have had yourself. Hope all goes well for all of you.

Nothing to be sorry about, whatsoever…I appreciate your insight, thoughts and well-wishes…!!! :)
We are lucky to have 3 of our 4 parents (Carolyn’s father passed in his early 60’s) still around, as they are all beyond average life expectancy.
Things for MIL have really only started to snowball in about the last year, or so.
She was living with BIL and our niece down in Houston before we moved her to an apartment just down the road from us in Austin, about 2 years ago. And then we moved her into our home(s) with us about a year ago.
Carolyn and Sarah were constantly going down to Houston to make sure she got to Dr. appointments anyway, plus BIL was gonna’ sell the house and move in with his new wife.
MIL was still cooking, doing laundry, etc., but, now she’s pretty much totally immobile.

Anyway, much thanks again for your input…!!! :)

She had to spend over $100 to get it. Of course, that only means buying one item.
I was already planning to buy a bunch of stuff. I had stuff for my kitchenette that I wanted to buy (most of it steeply on sale) and I have a couple of baby gifts that I wanted to buy. I get 10% off with the Disney Visa as well. The free gift popped up when I went to check out, so of course, I was super happy about it since I was already spending that amount. I'd been waiting to pick up the baby gifts because you have to spend over $75 to get free shipping unless they're running a promo. So...
