Thanks! And yes, it's those silly tubes of icing that go haywire -- they either come out too thickly, or you can't get them to work at all. (At least, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it!)They are very good. Cookies are even hard for me to decorate with icing. Those tubes of icing are hard to control.
Hubby said to tell you that you should have seen his gingerbread house last year.Yours look better.
Can't tell you how many cookies were total rejects, and of course, if they weren't ready for primetime . . . I got to eat all of those . . . 
)

The good news is this mutt is not only here to enjoy Christmas, but doing remarkably well, putting on weight, requiring fewer meds, and looks to be hanging out for awhile.
The “bad” news is our APs that expire in May are likely to go unused after our 2-day visit last May. (She’s great, but her jet-setting travel days are behind her.)
It’s a trade I’ll take any day of the week.

I haven't seen Disney's Christmas Parades on TV for years due to what you mentioned. I've been watch Christmas Story instead.

Notice you don’t see her spine sticking up anymore.
Surprisingly, she started eating some kibble again - not a whole meal, but enough to sprinkle her joint supplement on it, and she doesn’t leave a drop. This is important because #1 it’s more concentrated nutrition vs. the canned stuff and #2 that joint supplement in particular works very well for her (and doesn’t mix well with the cans.)
We got her a new arthritis shot on the 15th, and we are seeing very positive results. Her tail has resumed a little wagging after being stuck straight down for some time. It’s easier for her to get into position in the backyard. That’s huge. Second shot is 1/15.
