Ummm....there's a lot going on. The short answer is that I'm on the struggle bus lately. It's been a very very tough month. I'll PM you. It's not stuff I want to put on a public forum where anyone can see.

My mom just told me they're actually thinking of getting rid of the landline.

I can't believe that they're actually even considering this. I think aliens may have invaded their bodies. These people SWORE that they would never do it. Yet here we are...considering it. Huge step.
I have paid for a landline but I don't have a phone to connect it with. I currently have my internet and my TV with Spectrum. I got the bundle of three that included the landline. It was cheaper than just buying what I needed. Just another way that those places find a way to be able to say how many households have landlines with them. The never say if they are active or not. I don't even know what my phone number is unless I look at the bill. One thing I do know is that they are sneaky. My bill has been slowly increasing over the year and is now $30.00 per month higher then it was a year ago, but they never had a single increase, just an unannounced dollar here, three dollars there increase in the over all bill just about every month.

This just got me wondering if it is coming through my computer is it really a landline and would it work if the power were off. Doesn't really matter since I don't have a phone to go with it anyway, Just curious.

One thing I will bet is that there are about a gazillion unanswered robo calls to that phone number.

That's the thing about the landline; there are so many robocalls. Our cells don't get nearly as many. That and there's a bunch of spoofed calls. I told my parents a while ago that I'm not answering the thing; they can call my cell if they want to talk to me. I've mostly held to that rule; my dad calls home in the evenings to say he's coming home and if my mom can't answer it, I will, but if he calls middle of the day and Mom isn't around, odds are it's going to voicemail.

Landline comes in handy to us. When I can't find my iPhone in the house I use the landline to call my iPhone to locate it . That's better than searching the whole house by far. Also when I need a 3 way conversation ( like the pharmacy and doctor office and me ) I use both landline and iPhone on speaker to have constructive 3 way talk instead of he said she said. During a storm years ago, my iPhone had no signal but my landline still was in operation.
I use my watch to find my phone, and if all else fails, I get online and use Google to make my phone ring. My phone is always on vibrate so calling it doesn't help. Three way calling is a thing on most cell phones.

My parents have always used the "what if there's a storm" scenario for justifying keeping the landline, but honestly, cell phone reliability has increased so much that it's not likely to happen. Plus my parents have AT&T and my brother and I are on the Verizon network, so if one goes down but the other doesn't, there's backup.

I don't think I've owned and or worn a watch in approx 15 years. I just relied on my iPhone for the time, previous to that my flip phone , one the size of my forearm with the antenna , the other flip phone smaller than the palm of my hand . The VW scirroco from the late 1980-90s had at the time a huge cell phone with buttons attached near the stick shift when one bought the car new. Also if I get a scam call on landline and at times on cell phone , I switch my talking to them to Spanish and the scam artists just give up and end the call.

Cat vs. human

Jasmine badly needs her claws clipped. Mom was going to clip them. Mom goes and carefully gets the clippers out of the drawer.

Keep in mind Jasmine is fat and normally moves as slowly as possible.

Mom goes to pick up Jasmine. At other times, you can pick up Jasmine; she won't be happy about it, but she'll tolerate it. However, if you intend to clip her claws, she can read your mind and will run away. Jasmine runs away from her, leaps over Ella, who was playing on a pile of towels that needs to be washed, clears the pile of towels that needs to be washed, and runs up the stairs and under the bed.

That's why I could never get into Seinfeld. Horrible people!! And I don't find Jerry to be funny in his stand up, either. Just not my cup of tea.
Same, the only funny thing I found on Seinfield on all the years.. was the soup guy. Thats all. Noone of the characters were likeable for me.
And I hate the crazy dude(Kramer) the most.. he is super unfunny.
Id take a Frasier marathon than watch Seinfield.

That sounds familiar🤣 Either flying off and hiding or whining pitifully while we trimmed them was Chloe’s thing. 🤣

Not whining in Jasmine's case. YOWLING. Very loudly. All cats are dramatic; however, my cat is the most dramatic cat ever.

She had an ear infection back in the spring. I took her to the vet, and her ear was so full of gunk that they had to clean it out. They took her back, shut the door to the exam room and shut the door to the room where they were working on her. Two staff members had to hold this cat down while the vet did the cleaning. I could hear this cat howling while they cleaned her ear. The entire office could apparently hear her. Mind you, she didn't bite or claw. She just complained very loudly.

And then they didn't charge me for it. I'm like, how did you not charge me for this cat's dramatics?

They were in awe at her Oscar Winning antics that they decided her display was worth the job.

This is not good.

Shop Disney is doing a promo where you get 25% off if you use your Disney Visa.

Well, they also have Black Friday discounts, and the 25% discount is on top of the Black Friday discounts.

So this has gone from me looking at the Goose shoulder plush, to me trying to get the cart up to $75 to get free shipping, to now me looking at all kinds of stuff because some of the prices are wayyyy better than my usual AP discount, which is still pretty good.
