I don't know why stores do that. People are likely to spend more if they go into the store. About a year ago I remember a story on our local news about prices differences on apps vs. in store and it was specifically about Target. The reporter was looking for something at a particular Target and saw the price on line. They price they saw was at the studio, then when they entered the parking lot of the Target the price changed, and then the price online changed again when they entered the store to the higher price on the shelves. When she showed the manager the manager was "confused" about why the price changed. I don't think they would honor the lower price even with the screen shot evidence but maybe they did.
Wanna know why? It started because of Covid and it doesn't take long before humans get lazy and have a problem with flexing any muscles. My daughter who was anti-vax, early covid denier and apparently owes me thousands of dollars for her college education which I think taught her nothing, did manage to latch onto the free shopping/free pickup deal and has refused to let go. She got spoiled, I guess and felt like she had a servant or something. She even refused to tip the people that were coming out to put her grocery's, etc. in the car for her.

I used it briefly after I had my neck surgery, but as soon as I could get back up and do for myself I wanted to see what I was getting, mostly with meats and produce, I was back in the stores even while Covid was still at it most dangerous. Even at my age I really don't ever want to get physically or mentally dependent like that. I will admit to using Amazon because I can do my Christmas shopping and never leave my apartment. Everything delivered directly to my door. I don't mind grocery shopping quite so much, but any other shopping is just not my idea of a good time. For me, I blame it more on attitude and degree of hatred for trying to find things and also having to spend money on them.

@Tony the Tigger how is Kylie doing?

Thanks.

I would say overall better than expected. I didn't think she'd still be here by now at the time of diagnosis. The diuretics and heart meds seem to have stabilized her to a decent degree. It still feels like it can turn on a dime. There were days of very little panting, and today there was a fair amount of panting - but virtually no more wheezing/coughing for the last week to 2 weeks.

She's eating well, but only if it's delicious - and she gets sick of what was delicious in a few days LOL. Having switched away from non-delicious kibble, the prepared (like Pet Fresh) or wet (canned) foods require a lot more volume of eating. So we're basically feeding her 2 cups in the morning and 2 in the evening. She used to only eat once a day in the evening. But I'm sure she's started gaining weight back!

We haven't walked the past 2 nights, she seemed a little more tired. So was I, so I didn't push it. I almost walked her this morning to make up for it, but she was already panting so that didn't seem like a good idea.

I have no illusions, this isn't going to go on for years. But I'm slightly more optimistic about Christmas. I saw the tree lot go up by my gym today - no stock yet - but as soon as they are available, I'm grabbing one, hopefully by this weekend. She'll have Christmas with us even if it isn't the 25th yet. We've never put it up this early before, but if something happens...I could see us not putting it up at all. If it does happen, I'm thinking about a last minute WDW trip for the actual holiday. I think being in the house would be kind of crummy. Who knows.

I've gone from crying at the drop of a hat two weeks ago, to being more clinical about it, focused on taking care of her, keeping her company, taking extra videos, etc.

The decision this week is whether to switch pain killers or refill the one she's on now. The vets prefer Galliprant. We have her on Carprofen, and I swear that was helping reduce the wheezing even before we started the heart meds & diuretics. You're supposed to wait days before switching to Galliprant, and we have that bottle at home. I'm leaning why rock the boat? I'm actually going to call the vet now. Thanks for making me think of it!

It is tough dealing with a sick pet. We did it with our cat years ago. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever been through.
My heart goes out to you. You are doing so much to make Kylie comfortable and enjoy her life. You are such a good doggie Daddy. Hugs to you!!!

Just take it one day at a time. Sounds like you're doing a great job, taking care of her meds, and providing tasty meals for her! ❤️
