I was watching sporadically, so I missed some.

Yet, in agreement with you -- I was perplexed by the sales prices on some of them -- either way lower than what I expected, or way higher for some cars I didn't like. 🤔

My favorite car was the 1969 Chevrolet COPO* Camaro (*Central Office Production Order), in Daytona Yellow, with white interior. That went for $117,500. Meanwhile, a 1956 gorgeous peacock blue & white, white-walled tires, T-Bird convertible, only sold for $25,000.

Today is Saturday, so Mecum will be rolling out the big guns  that they've been teasing in the promos, as they always do! (Can't watch all 6 hours, but will be watching segments, and seeing which vehicles Matt the Hat get excited about today!) :joyfull:

Yep, the COPO was a hoot from yesterday, indeed…!!!
And I see another Pantera is comin’ up soon…
Yep, currently watchin’ again…!!! :)

I can’t even keep up with this stuff anymore…the yellow ‘57 Chevy just killed me…!!!!!!!
The Chevy Belair convertible in yellow (white walled tires) was gorgeous -- one of my favs as well. Sold for $105,000. :)

Cooking dinner, so logging off now. I have pages of notes about the various vehicles today, and have dvr'd the remaining few hours of the auction. Will pick my top 2-3 favs tomorrow, after I review all of this!

Anyway, enjoy the rest of the auction.

Shopping rant ahead: This morning I went online to find something that needs replacing. Long story short if I were to walk into the store and get it, it would be full price, if I were to order for curbside it would be half price on an early Black Friday sale. Same product same policy at both Target and Walmart. Needless to say dh is picking up my order today and neither store will have me wandering the aisles.
Me: Wondering why they're doing this????? Maybe to cut down on some of the past insanity???

I don't know why stores do that. People are likely to spend more if they go into the store. About a year ago I remember a story on our local news about prices differences on apps vs. in store and it was specifically about Target. The reporter was looking for something at a particular Target and saw the price on line. They price they saw was at the studio, then when they entered the parking lot of the Target the price changed, and then the price online changed again when they entered the store to the higher price on the shelves. When she showed the manager the manager was "confused" about why the price changed. I don't think they would honor the lower price even with the screen shot evidence but maybe they did.

YIKES!!!!!!!!! That's crazy!
At least the stores sites say "When ordered online" I'm wondering if it has to do with having a captive audience. Cutting out the previous insanity makes some sense, using the captive audience excuse stinks imho, they're not Disney

The closest thing I had to deal with prices in person compare to online is a used video game store that is now gone. That place went away in the 2000s.

What I referred to store employees are known to change prices of games in person including making a game over $10.00 more expensive than it is on their website despite no change in condition of the game. The employees claimed they just changed prices, but it seems they change prices of day on used video games back when they were in business.
