I found out that the neighborhood is having Trick or treat on Saturday Night and Sunday Afternoon. That means the trick or treaters would be getting candy on back to back days:rolleyes:. I am rolling my eyes because Neighborhood trick or treating when I was growing up was for the final Sunday of October only.

What I am waiting to see is if people would be handing out candy on the 28th and the 29th or just one out of the 2 days.

I wonder if they do trick or treating in apartment buildings? When I was living my grandparents house, obviously I had a door to the street which I did not open when the bell rang. Not that I ever did Halloween. Someone needed to text me they were here first 🤣

Successful dodged all politicians, girl scouts selling overpriced small cookies and Jehovah's Witnesses.

In my apartment you require an electronic pass card to get the door to open, so no trick & treaters. Since I moved to NC. However, I have gone to my daughters since the kids were little. All but one considers themselves to old to trick or treat. I try and tell them that when their mothers were little, their great-grandmother used to go around with the girls complete with mask and bag and she was in her late 70's. She was 4'10" tall so she fit right in seamlessly.

Coconut macaroons that the Girl Scouts sell is my fav. One smart girl accompanied by her father pushed her pull cart full of GS cookies boxes made a lot of sales in San Diego one day. There was a line of customers standing on the public sidewalk waiting to enter one of the weed dispensaries in town. That smart Girl Scout had a good day supporting her organization.

Sorry!!! I'm having a rough month and haven't really had time to do much besides work. I'll be starting a new job in a couple of weeks, and it will most likely be EXTREMELY busy for a while because it's a toy store and Sinterklaas starts like a week and a half after I start working there, and the boss wants me to work up to 40 hours a week to start with. I haven't worked full time in decades, and I don't know how I'm going to cope with all the other stuff like laundry and cooking and such. So I likely won't be on here much until after New years, but I'm alive! Just...coping.
Hi Songbird76. I was on vacation for a few days so just catching up here. Hopefully, once you start your new job, things will start looking up. I'm sure that the job will be a lot of work, but It might be fun to work in a toy store, even if it's busy.

Delegate, delegate, delegate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The kids are old enough and responsible enough to pitch in especially the one you're married to. Sending lots of prayers and pixie dust your way
E's very good at helping with the cooking, but she has school until 5pm 3 days a week, 4:10 one day, and the other day she gets out at 3 something, so she's not in a whole lot better boat than I am, especially when you take homework into account. I've been starting a load of laundry in the morning before I go to work, switching it over when I get home and start a new load, which I then switch again in the morning. We're doing our best. But then, I haven't started at the new job, so I'm still only working 20 hours a week. That may not work once I start the new job. We'll survive!
