another weekend of rain to keep the first frost away! We may get tomatoes, cukes, zukes.......... next weekend as one farm did late plantings this year That means it'll be almost Thanksgiving before I can stock up on winter squashes and brussels sprouts because they need a good frost to make them sweet. I can live with that

Dad is disappointed. He wants frost.

There is stuff that only can be done outside after a frost and he wants those things done before his surgery happens next month.

Under those circumstances he's more than excused for being wrong. Lots of prayers and pixie dust the surgery goes smoothly and he recovers quickly!

I know this is odd to say but my food on the way home was amazing. I was all set not to like it based on my last year British Airways experience but it was fantastic.

And I watched Love Actually. Because why not.

@Figgy, did you happen to watch any of the Skate America competitions over the weekend? One of my favorites, Isabeau Lovito, (16 years old), from New Jersey, came in third overall. That's a great accomplishment for her age, and as I've mentioned in the past, she has a great future ahead of her.

Was also very impressed with Belgium's Loena Hendrickx (23 years old), who took first place. She was outstanding, and loved her choreography.
