Come to the Orioles side.
We have a winning team.
You guys have one good year and all of a sudden you are supermen.

I was a loyal Mets fan before their first incredible year of 1969 when they won the World Series. After that I just lost interest in baseball. That began a day after the WS when I boarded a plane for Vietnam. Two memories that are always connected. The Mets winning the series and Vietnam. High and very low fostering events. I guess I don't have to tell you what team they beat that year so I won't, but the initials are BO. Coincidence, I think not. My son in law and grandson are card caring, Orioles flag waving, live, eat and sleep fans. In fact they were there, along with my Daughter at last nights slaughter of the Mets. There going to be there tonight as well! I make like I'm upset but, like I said, I lost interest in baseball over 50 years ago. I watched that final game of the 69 world series on a 12 inch screen, black and white TV in a ratty old hotel in Downtown San Francisco that I suspect was one of the few buildings that survived the 1906 Earthquake.
From a previous marriage my SIL's oldest son was named Brooks after Brooks Robinson. Now that's fandom.

Idk about the Mets, but Yankees have poor management and coaching.
At least the Yankees aren't like they were from the George Steinbrenner era of ownership before George became more mild by his standards.

George was way too impatient for a while From 1973 to 1990, George fired managers 19 times. Out of the 19 times he fire managers, he hired and fired Billy Martin 5 times. The thing is if Billy Martin didn't die from a car crash, Steinbrenner was going to hire Billy for a 6th time.

That is not all. George went through 13 Publicity Directors in 26 years.

And in reality all he really needed were a collection of players with names like Mantle, Maris, Berra, Ford, Kubec and a few others to make a winning team.

I'll refrain from asking " Why does it matter if I have one on my fireplace, Wasn't one of them a coach and what do cars have to do with it":angelic:
