Anyone else ever go shopping for a bunch of ingredients (spices, herbs, etc.) for a new recipe, and forget to buy one item? I did. 
It was a chicken recipe, and I forgot to buy the chicken. (It happens . . . 
)

Oh, and I also forgot the noodles once for chicken and noodles. Now I write down everything on the list, before the store.

I'm also good at forgetting ingredients while making the recipes. Like forgetting the broccoli in the broccoli rice casserole or the shredded chicken in the buffalo chicken dip.

Actually, I brought a list. Because it was a new recipe, I wanted to be sure I got all the extra stuff. I just never wrote down, "chicken" . . .

Hilarity is that I sometimes remember things that myself or my mother forgot to write in the "to get list". That were indeed missing. But I end forgetting some other item that was in the list XD

At least its not what happened to mom a couple times in the past. I am referring to brand of ingredient being the issue.
Mom had all the ingredients for a new cookie recipe, but the recipe asked for certain brand of an ingredient. The problem in that cased is mom did the recipe right, but tasted poorly due to brand of an ingredient the recipe asked. Mom decided to redo the recipe and it turned out great after using different brand of the ingredient.
