He came home around lunchtime today, and is feeling better.
In this case, a Gaylord is an industrial/commercial storage unit/crate. They are about 6’X6’ and can be stacked.
So glad he's feeling a bit better, though it's got to be very frustrating for him to not be as mobile as he'd like or is used to. I looked up the Gaylord and only came up with a town in Michigan, and a person who is overly happy or something? So I finally googled "What is a gaylord" and it came up with pictures of crates. So I figured that's what it was, but thank you for the confirmation. I've never heard them called that before!
