Brings back memories. In college in our dorms we had no microwaves. If we had leftover pizza we ate it at room temp or what others called cold. It went well with an ice cold beer.
I have NEVER heard of Colorado style, and I grew up in Wyoming....right next door? Never heard of dipping the crust in honey. What I do miss in the US is with Papa Johns, you got the garlic butter dipping sauce. That was SOOOOO good. But I just miss pizza in the US in general. The stuff we have here barely counts as pizza. It's awful. Pepperoni doesn't exist, and most places don't use mozzarella cheese, or at least not ONLY mozzarella. It's bitter and it's tough and it's just not good. Cheese should stretch and be all melty on pizza....you pick up a piece of pizza and it should look stringy. Here, they overcook it, so the cheese has no moisture left in it and it's like a papery consistency. I miss even DECENT pizza that most people in the states would consider "not good". I can't WAIT for Via Napoli.Chicago is home to Unos. It was so popular, Unos was on one corner in the River North neighborhood, and Due’s was kitty corner.
we just call that Detroit pizza. And when DS was living in Denver, he had to try Colorado style. Apparently what makes it CO style is you dip the crust in honey. So, if you have to dip the crust end in ranch, does that make it WI style pizza, @ajrwdwgirl ?
Well, look at the bright side. Now, you have an extra day's worth of potatoes!Long story short we accidently wound up with 40 pounds of potatoes this week instead of the 20 originally on my shopping list

That I can get behind. What's not to like about that?I don't know about grossness but I like when I tried a NJ Egg , Taylor ham and cheese salt pepper ketchup on a bagel that the locals were eating but my friends thought it was gross.

How can the school allow that? Don't they have holidays built into their calendar?I don't like theater week. I miss my kid! They have rehearsals every single day. Yesterday 11am-4pm, same today, tomorrow, and Monday. HOW can they be allowed to have school stuff on EASTER?? That's supposed to be a day off! Well, we told E she can't go tomorrow because we have plans for Easter with the family, and if they are going to hold rehearsals on Good Friday AND on Monday, she has to have ONE day with her family. Apparently the Theater "teacher" sent out an email expressing his disappointment that so many kids aren't coming tomorrow. What do you expect? It's a holiday! And it's an important one that people spend with family. People make plans in advance...it's not something easily skipped. And then every day this next week, there's rehearsal until 9pm, so I won't get to see E at all, and I start my new job on Wednesday, so it's going to feel like a very long week.
