Congratulations! I'm glad you were able to find something you thought would work for you so quickly. If the grocery store offers a job will you take that instead if the pay and stuff is similar?
I don't know...there are pros and cons to both. The grocery store is only like half the distance, which is a plus if it's bad weather I'm biking in. But if they are really only offering a max of 10 hours, I need more than that. I only applied thinking that if I got nothing else, at least it would be SOMETHING, and I might be able to grow in that function. But the one I was offered yesterday is already more hours, there's definitely room to grow, and it seems like a nice work environment, which would be really nice after what I was in before.

Good luck with whatever you decide. Does the grocery store offer any discounts? Is there a bus you can take if the weather is really bad to the job with more hours and room for growth? Would the extra hours cover a taxi in an emergency? Only you can decide what you need to make everything work for your life.

Thanks! I have no idea if they offer discounts. That's something to ask in the interview I guess. There's no bus from here at all anymore. Well, there is one that goes IF you reserve in advance, but it only goes once every hour I think, and only if you reserve it. It's not the most convenient service. There's a severe shortage right now in public transportation workers and the ones they have have been holding strikes for MONTHS trying to get more pay and better conditions. So they've had to limit the routes and times and such. We live on the outer edge of town in a low income district and the buses don't come out this far anymore. Taxis are available in a pinch, but it's not something I want to rely on. What we CAN do is I can bring my husband to the train station and drop him off so I have the car. We did that last week so I could drive A to school and pick him up when he was tackled during break and hurt his knee. So we have some options.

Go with your gut. Sounds like you have weighed the pros and cons pretty well.

I had similar thoughts when I was in mid 20s, but it was for my knees. My knees were making snap, crackle, pop sounds back when I was in my 20s. Now days its my knees, calf muscles, and bad hip that can act up and it really can get pretty bad in cold weather.

All I am willing to say is I don't go park commando in a theme park even in Florida also considering my old hip injury did a number on my gait being off.

I tore my PCL back in December of 2021 and it's still not right, so I'm right there with ya.

I'm so sorry to hear that!!!!
I bought light colored canvas shoes yesterday and like clockwork it rained today, my yard is a muddy mess but at least the last traces of snow are gone
Keeping everything crossed that was the last of it this year.
We've done Easter egg hunts in snow and it also has been warm enough to do them in shorts
There is good chance of morning snow tomorrow. I do know this years March had its most snow in March since 1965 for the city I live in.

April Fools day Morning has a good chance of snow showers with 23 mph winds with it being the day I will attend the Midwest Gaming Classic with Vendor hall being open 30 minutes early due to tickets pre-ordered. Hopefully there wouldn't be a lot of snow that morning.

We're supposed to get rain here on Saturday. My brother has been begging to go to Hershey and it's opening weekend...I seriously doubt that's happening. Which is fine with me; I'd rather go in a few weekends when one of my classes drops off.

What Vendor Hall has for items going by past years is arcade games, pinball games, computer games, vintage computers, video games, board games, handheld games, collector card games, crafts, vinyl records, Lego stuff including Lego Star War sets, Role playing game armory and weapons, and cosplay stuff. That includes Swords for sale.

@Figgy1, there is no bow & arrows for sale at vendor hall. That means no bow and arrows can be shot at a certain misbehave animal that would try to steal a time machine Delorean, Knight Rider Kitt replica car, or movie car replicas. There is still that sword chase option for dealing that misbehave animal;).
