Vancouver for some strange reason has a much warmer climate. I'm not sure they even get snow and if they do, it is quite seldom. So it is part of Canada but its relations to the Pacific Ocean makes it so it isn't the great white north. The climate is quite livable. He probably will need a coat a little heavier then anything he ever needed in Mexico, but Vancouver is a perfect transition. It is, however, on the edge of the Pacific Rim but, so is Mexico.

Yep, part of the “Ring of Fire”.

Tyler Reddick (#45, Toyota) won the COTA race yesterday at Austin, with triple overtime restarts! :jawdrop:

Usually, I don't watch the road course races (I prefer the traditional oval speedway races, such as Texas Motor Speedway--although that track is technically a quad-oval.). But I was scrolling channels yesterday, and saw the race had just 2 more laps to go -- so I watched. Meanwhile, about 35 minutes later . . . they finally got in the final 2 laps! :p

Note: I was unfamiliar with the Austin track. However, what caught my eye was off-track -- their tall, walk-up observation tower. Now THAT was cool !! ❤️

Yea, I caught the last of it, as well. It was funny when one of the commentators, after it was finally over, said jokingly “Now, how many restarts was that…?!!!”…!!!!! :hilarious:

Yea, that tower is cool, but, I’ve only ever seen it in person from the air. The first time was a few months before CotA officially opened back in Oct. of 2012.
That was the year the fam sent me up in a 1-hour helicopter ride for Father’s Day, and the pilot circled over CotA twice…!!! :)

Same, I have insane farsight (helps with birding)
But close range? I get all blurry and dizzy if I try to read the tiny guarantee text of a tiny presentation card XD

I had perfect vision my entire life until my early to mid 40’s. That’s when the “short arm disease” started to kick in.
I first noticed when I would be design sketching on a larger home at 3/16” scale, rather than the usual 1/4” scale for smaller homes. I, eventually, couldn’t read the tick marks on the 3/16” part of the architectural scale anymore.
I started out with 1.00 cheaters, and have progressed up to 2.50 over the years. Will probably need to go to 2.75 here soon.
Beyond that, my medium and far vision are still 20/20 (they tested me in the ER about a year ago, and nothing’s changed). I can see a gnat on a dogs beeeeeeehind about 200 yards out………..so I got that goin’ for me…!!!!! :D :hilarious:
