Today at the office we got these little gift bags for Employee Appreciation Day (I had forgotten there was even such a day, so had no clue - forgot to get pics too :bored:).
Each bag contained 3 Blow Pops, a $25 gift card to In-N-Out Burger, and a 50ml bottle of tequila…airplane size.
I slurped and chewed the Blow Pops, and downed the tequila before I left the office.
Back in the day, I two-stepped, busted a move, etc., many a time with no booze in me at all. These days, it would probably take 50 of those little bottles to get me to do that…followed shortly thereafter by the inevitable ER visit…!!!!! :hilarious:

Idk, the over 60 year old with whom I live has never been cool. Apparently he used to wear coordoroys in the summer in his 20s and that has defined his cool factor for the remainder of his life. Thankfully he found someone cool to marry so they'd have cool kids.

Oh my…I think I know the problem here…
Unfortunately, way back in the day, your Pop’s parents were visited by the “dork stork”…!!!!! 😁 :D:hilarious:;););)

Yeah, idk what happened. My grandparents were basically part of the real life cast of Grease in the 50s...and somehow my father was less Marty McFly and more Alex P. Keaton as a teen. And of course, your 20s are for redeeming yourself, but it only got worse...

Maybe time for a garage sale and make a few bucks on a weekend? One persons junk is another persons treasure .

Yea, we’ve done several garage/yard sales over the years, but, not so much in recent years. Usually at my folks home, because we have much less exposure at the end of our dead end street.
It’s crazy how much total money we got for stuff we were either gonna’ donate or toss.
Nobody is ever gonna’ find any “Antique Roadshow” type stuff from us, but, we made some fun money…!!! :)

Happy to hear they're both back home. Those types of situations are really scary for them, and for the family. Did the doctor(s) suggest a visiting nurse to check in on them at home, a few times this week? The VNA can be helpful to take their BP, etc., and promote a calming influence to them. (I think they usually come for a week until all is stabilized, if I'm not mistaken.)

Here are some flowers for them. :)

Thanks, Minnie. (my sincerest apologies for not directly answering other members posts - just trying not to get into too much of it here).
At this point, we don’t think that is needed. Although our younger sis’ and her family are in Louisiana, myself and Carolyn, my two younger bros and their families, and Megan and Daniel, and Sarah, are close enough to handle it all for now.
Obviously, all of that could change at any moment, but, we’ve got it all covered for now.
Ultimately, we all know what’s comin’ down the pike, and even though we’re crazy beyond blessed to have had them in our lives for so long, life is, ultimately, a cycle.

Sorry about all the edits, just a bit of emotion tied up in all this. Mom is 83 and Pop is 90. They have been the best parents ever. They’ve always worked together as a loving team.
OK, I need to stop now.
Sorry.
