Watched Disney's bomb, Stranger World's last night. Weird movie. I mean the people who created it must have done drugs first. But I failed to see what the controversy surrounding the film was about.
Sure, other Disney movies have been totally weird. The only part that doesn't make Moana a great movie for me is the giant Sebastian scene which then ruins the whole movie.

I actually really liked Stranger World. I thought it was really cool how it parallels the conservation and colonization and shows a different side....like, they think they are fighting all these monsters, but when you look further, there's a completely different way of looking at it and maybe they aren't the monsters. I COMPLETELY get the controversy, because that parallels society...there are those who believe in climate change and those who don't. There are people who want to believe that colonization was a great thing, and those who think that it was wrong to have forced their customs on others. It's a completely political thing though, so I won't debate it here, but I DO understand why some people don't like the message. I think it really depends on which side you are on.

That could be Ella. She does NOT like to be kissed. She looks offended by it. If I pick her up, she will push my face away so I can't kiss her.
Belle used to love to be kissed. She would put her head up when she was being affectionate waiting to be kissed. Jasmine tolerates it.

My little cousin LOVES that movie. I haven't actually sat down to watch that movie, but he watched it twice in one day while I was down there. It was always on. I'm amazed I never actually watched the entire thing. Which honestly, I'd rather hear that on the TV than the weird stuff he usually watches.
