That's how the tests are here that kids do in 6th grade to determine which level school you go to. It didn't used to be that way because they were just paper test booklets, but they changed them a few years ago and made it an online test. The better you do, the more difficult questions you get. E got some questions about stuff they had never had in class and had to ask the teacher what it was talking about and had to tell the class if they got questions like that, this is how you do that. I think E was the only one to end up getting those questions. I guess they want to see just how far their knowledge stretches. Are you below average, average, above average, advanced? And for some of the kids who struggle more, they get easier questions and don't feel quite as lost. It doesn't make them feel like they knew nothing. They keep getting questions, but they are easier to answer, so then they feel more successful, too. Though this is kind of weird that you would get MORE questions about the things you struggled with. Yikes!!

Office Manager texted early this morning and said to delay coming in if it’s too bad.
I told her it wasn’t too bad out here, so after de-icing my car, I started heading in.
About halfway down my country back road, she texted again and said for all of us to stay home.
I didn’t have any issues, but, there are accidents everywhere, including fatalities.
At least a couple of the fatalities appear to be motorists that had a minor accident, got out of their vehicles to inspect, and then were hit by another vehicle sliding into them. Stay in your car with your seatbelt on, is the word.

Below is the current situation, with the cold, freezing rain, ice, etc., having swept down into Texas.

We have "wintry mix" right now.

According to the weather apps at least. In reality, it's very cold rain, and it was in the 50s yesterday so the ground is warm and nothing's sticking

I heard on the national news today that quite a few areas are getting icing conditions. Glad your office was told to stay home.
