Good luck and hopefully you don’t have the horrible TX power grid freeze of early 2021 that paralyzed the state and a number of residents passed away.

Yea, that was bad.
Power grid has since been shored up, it’s not as cold, and there has been zero precipitation this time.
Plus, that was a 100-ish year event. 5 or so inches of snow on the ground here, and static air temp was as low as 5.
All systems have been 100% go this time.
The only thing we even lost at our house last time was water, for about 3 days. All other utilities never even hiccuped.

There is a utility issue in Wisconsin right now. The company my dad used to work at now wants customers to reduce natural gas use by "immediately" lowering their thermostats to 60 to 62 degrees. The company my dad used to work run electricity and gas.

The reason is interstate pipeline supplier that utility company uses experienced a significant equipment failure that is limiting the amount of fuel they are sending. There also is not a quick fix to this.

It is as cold as 0 degrees outside right now and tomorrow might get as high as 10 degrees at best. Christmas Day might be 12 degrees as a high. Basically the natural gas issue is happening at a bad time weather wise.
