Actually, we do have parkas that we purchased before our trip to Ruidoso, NM this past January…although, I couldn’t find a pic of me wearing it, it’s in my lap in this pic…!!!!!

I've got one that I haven't taken out of the closet since I moved to NC. I may break it out on Christmas Eve and Day this year. I'm going to ask for a cash refund from the state for broken promises. It's still 44 degrees here at the moment, 8:30pm, but should be dropping like a frozen rock tomorrow morning and through the day. I'll be fine as long as the heat pump can find something to capture. This place seems to heat and cool easily.

37F here and it is just starting to change from rain to ice.

And 20 minutes later it has dropped ten degrees to 27 with sustained winds at 36 and gusting to 56. And the snow is here.

Going to get to -5F tonight. Down to 20F now. We will probably get more snow here than our Chicago place. About 2 inches there now and real temp of -3 and feels like of -34.

And the snow is done. 2.07 inches. The pole you see in the distance is my weather station. I turned on my outdoor flood lights to show the snow. Current temp 13F feels like -16.

I actually find it amusing too, to be honest…is this some kinda’ tundra inversion…?!!!!!
