Apparently, I missed a day somewhere, as I heard on the news earlier that today was actually day 67 of trip digit temps… 🤔 It reached 100 today, just before the skies finally opened up with some much-needed rain (51 days of almost immeasurable rainfall)…!!! :)

Sooooo…..
Day 67…!!! :)

Back in the day I worked manual labor in a factory . A food truck came several times a day , everyday selling food drink and fresh hot coffee. The owner operator knew us by name so at times he kept a running tab and we paid him on Friday which was payday. I worked with a lot of Latino immigrants ( very hard working peers ). At that job I spoke and understood more Spanish than English which helped improve my second language.

One of my (previous) office job locations, actually had an in-house coffee service. (At the time, I worked in a very tall office building, and the coffee people would come up on the elevators with a coffee cart, with drinks, breakfast pastries, etc., in the morning. Very convenient!) :)

So, I finished one design and started another before I left the office today.
We already did about a $4 million house for the client a little while ago. He’s into cryptocurrency, and somehow hasn’t lost his rear, apparently.
He bought the lot next door with an existing home that’ll be totally razed. He wants a very contemporary home that’ll also be an entertainment space, along with offices and a conference room/workspace on the upper floor, and pretty much a full-blown spa on the lower floor. He also wants the 2 structures to be connected by a breezeway that can be removed later. But, he also wants it to be “house” enough for resale later…definitely a recurring theme, these days.
It’ll be a total of 4 levels, including, get this…a helipad on the top level…!!!!!!! :joyfull:
It’s out in the county (Travis), so it’s legal there.
Gonna’ be A LOT of structural steel in this one…!!!!! :hilarious:
