Taquitos ?
Burritos ?
First real storm of the season! strong thunderstorm with one thunder per sec. Refreshing.
Look carefully at your bill when dining out. At FL Macaroni Grill locations a $2 " inflation fee" is now added to the bill.
Let me know how it turns out. I downloaded it for next week since I’ve already got my menus planned this weekend.Happy Orange Chicken Day View attachment 653369 I know what I'm making for dinner tonight
I'm using my regular recipe tonightLet me know how it turns out. I downloaded it for next week since I’ve already got my menus planned this weekend.
Maybe they plan on just dropping the "inflation" fee when inflation drops. Sorry, I had to stop typing for a second because I was laughing so hard at what I had just said.I would rather have them raise the price of the items to cover it then sneaking in a fee. Just like I wish the service fee was automatically included for waitstaff, or that people would pay them a decent wage so I wouldn’t have to tip. I’m not a fan of doing math after my meal but I’m not a jerk so I will do it to leave a decent tip.
That's impressive -- you plan menus. Figgy does that, too.Let me know how it turns out. I downloaded it for next week since I’ve already got my menus planned this weekend.
Back when I owned my Residential Care Home by state law I had to publish the planned menus for the month. After that I vowed to never do that again and now my meals are determined on average about 30 minutes before I eat them. Sometimes way less than that. That's impressive -- you plan menus. Guess what? I don't. I buy a bunch of stuff and then "wing it" with what I'll pull together for dinner. (Also, some of the "stuff" I buy also includes some frozen dinners -- for some easy nuking dinner nights!)
At least 3 nights a week, I don't want regular dinner food. I'm kinda fickle. Sometimes, I want a bowl of cereal instead, or even ice cream.Back when I owned my Residential Care Home by state law I had to publish the planned menus for the month. I honestly don't know what I did before I was gifted a George Foreman Grill. I can take out a solid frozen hamburg, steak, chicken breast or pork chop and be eating it in 7 minutes. It's a miracle I tell ya!At least 3 nights a week, I don't want regular dinner food. I'm kinda fickle. Sometimes, I want a bowl of cereal instead, or even ice cream.
I am bad at planning them then changing at the last minute. That's impressive -- you plan menus. Figgy does that, too.

Part of the problem (for me) in terms of planning meals (I might "try" for a few to plan, sometimes) -- is that when I get to the grocery store, they don't always have what I need. (Stocking the shelves isn't as bad as a few years ago, but distribution of some items, can still be hit or miss.) So I've kinda given up on planning any sort of menus, and just go with I see in the store in any given week, instead.I am bad at planning them then changing at the last minute.
Theme parks doing the same thing. Raising prices but not actually outright calling it inflation fee. Macaroni Grill should have just done what a number of places are doing - raise the price instead of added inflation fee to the customer bill. . But if the food portions are less that would not be something I would accept.Maybe they plan on just dropping the "inflation" fee when inflation drops. Reminds me of cruise lines.. instead of paying better and raise prices a bit.. they are now forcing mandatory higher "tips" for employees.Theme parks doing the same thing. I understand how grocery stores are. I had issues earlier in the month for finding a couple things.Part of the problem (for me) in terms of planning meals (I might "try" for a few to plan, sometimes) -- is that when I get to the grocery store, they don't always have what I need.
