Jet lag recovering from a 5 hour time difference coming back from Hawaii was rough. I fell asleep at a red light in an intersection but the honks of the car horns woke me up really quick.Ways Hawaii time has further screwed up my clock...
In Hawaii, new Ms. Marvel/Obi Wan episodes dropped at 9 pm on Tuesdays. So I watched the Obi Wan finale technically on Tuesday June 21.
Today, I'm like "Oh, it's Tuesday, Ms. Marvel should be out."
Then I realized that the episodes actually drop on Wednesday at 3 am here.
I need another nap.
Yeah, it's a six hour time difference to here during DST. I thought maybe I would do better since this is now my fifth trip out there (that I can remember) so maybe I'd be more used to it. Yeah...no.Jet lag recovering from a 5 hour time difference coming back from Hawaii was rough. I fell asleep at a red light in an intersection but the honks of the car horns woke me up really quick.
I know my parent heard of Glen Campbell way before I was born including the song in question.Yep, that song is a classic, and it went through my mind many times while we were down there. Even though I was only about 6+ at the time, I still remember when it came out in ‘69, as my Mom and Pop only listened to country music stations, even in No Cal, at the time…still love that song…!!!
That is no different than a couple of the Statler Brothers songs. The Statler Brothers were known to be county and gospel, but 2 of their songs made it to the billboard top 100. I am referring the 1965 released song "Flowers on the Wall" and the 1970 released song "Bed Of Roses". The Statler brothers had a lot of 40 country hits in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, but the general public that isn't into country knew about Flowers on the Wall and Bed of Roses. Those 2 songs have been used in movies and in Bed of Roses case as a song in a video game.Fan of Glen Campbell as well. I believe he was always considered a country singer, yet his songs (up here) were always played on the top 40 hits stations.
The city canceled them tonight also. As far as last night though I have to shake my head at whoever was shooting off fireworks in the area.No fireworks tonight for the city I live. They are delayed till tomorrow night due to rain and thunderstorms although I question them happening tomorrow night. The thunderstorms are supposed to be scattered and isolated tomorrow night if the thunderstorms happen. The thunderstorms happening are around 50 percent tomorrow.
I have been very lucky because even though I have been all over the world, I have never really felt what I could identify as any jet lag from any of it. Tired sometimes, sure, but nothing else really.Yeah, it's a six hour time difference to here during DST. It also doesn't help coming back that I'm not naturally a morning person, so my body's like "Hey, cool, we can stay up late." Out there I went to bed earlier; I was usually in bed between 9 and 10 pm.
It is raining right now and there is a flash flooding warning. The city canceled them tonight also.
@StarWarsGirl guess what I watched over the weekend
My dad doesn't get it as badly as the rest of us do. I think maybe it could be a guy thing...although B has it terribly this time. My dad pretty much it's like when he wants to sleep, he just goes to sleep, and then when he wakes up, he's up. Not me. If my body doesn't think it's acceptable to sleep, it'll be like, "Hey, cool, let's lay here and think about everything embarrassing that's ever happened to us."I have been very lucky because even though I have been all over the world, I have never really felt what I could identify as any jet lag from any of it. I knew some military vets that could sleep anywhere anyplace anytime. A few could fall fast asleep standing up. A drill instructor could order them at his command to sleep and one would fall right asleep. At the yelling tone of the DI , one could wake up right away without question. My dad doesn't get it as badly as the rest of us do.
