Up here, we mix 1 part white vinegar, to 2 parts room temp water. Takes a while to work, but if you have time, it's actually quite effective as well.
When I used to work outside the house, I just remote started the car, heated it up, and the ice came right off in ten minutes.

Now, if there's ice on the car, it's a sign... don't leave the house. 🤣

I took art from 7 grade on up through my sophomore year of HS, ‘til I got into that 3-hour-long morning vocational drafting class for my junior and senior years. As I’ve posted before, my art teacher was really torqued that I was giving up art to “…draw straight lines!!!”…!!!!! :hilarious:

I took art as well, but my mother told me you can't make a living that way, so in 10th grade, I took one trimester (yes, that's what we had) of mechanical drawing. Within the first few days, I knew I was not going to be an architect!

Senior year, I had two hours a day of commercial art. That was more my speed, and more practical. I also skipped chemistry and just took a basic science class (again divided into trimesters: rocks and minerals, fossils, and something else I can't remember right now.) Plus English and gym, and that was that. Easy senior year.

The winter package is wonderful because it's remote start, the seats, steering wheel and car have been heated up and the defrosters run if needed. I stop cursing within 5 minutes of getting in the car:eek:
I've wondered does remote start work for manual transmission cars? I don't think so. When I park my car I shut off my car , put the stick in first gear , pull the parking break up, exit the car. When I get in the car to start it, I put the stick in neutral, depress the clutch pedal and start the car. I put the car in gear when i park because if I pull the parking break up and leave the stick in neutral if the parking break fails, the car will start rolling. One good thing about driving a stick, use less on the brakes , downshift into lower gears and my car 70K miles still have a pad life left from last dealer oil change inspection.
