Today, two days later, we were finally able to pry open the car door!

Side streets are a lot better this afternoon (main roads were down to pavement yesterday).

Considering how bad the ice was I think we're doing ok. We could get out to the main road in an emergency but it's safer not to. I'm just happy we didn't lose power with how bad it was

I'm making a pot roast dinner. It even has carrots. Smells good while it's cooking in the oven. (That doesn't guarantee it will be edible -- I'm the one that's cooking it, after all. )

@Lilofan , I noticed (in a different thread on the forum) that you shared that you just had your appendix out, in emergency procedure. Thank goodness you went to the hospital right away and didn't delay. Glad that you had the surgery in a timely manner, and hoping you feel better now. (Maybe take off a few days to rest at home., before going back to work.)
