The only thing I notice when not refrigerating tomatoes is they rot quicker. It may be OK for Figgy because food in her house never actually touches the counter before it is consumed but as a single if I don't refrigerate they just become garbage and I don't want to know how that tastes.
Totally understand cause I do that too. Unless I use the small Campari tomatoes on a sandwich. Those I use a whole one on each sandwich so no leftovers.

But.....why would you want to taste them anyway? Tomatoes are disgusting! Unless they are cooked in something, like spaghetti sauce!

We grew up on them. We had them all summer long. I love them right off the vine in the summer! So yummy. Plus, they have lycopene, good source of potassium, and good for blood pressure.
Dd not a lover either.😉

Okay, so according to my aunt who has chickens...

Unwashed eggs don't go into the fridge. Just leave em out, you can keep them good for a very long time.

Once you wash an egg, you have to refrigerate it or eat it because then you risk food-bourne illness if you don't. The kinds you buy in the grocery store are washed, so those should be refrigerated.

Don't kill the messenger.
Yesss! My DD’s neighbor has chickens. She gives them fresh eggs. That’s exactly what you do! 👍🏻
