Years ago, I saw Cats on Broadway. To this day, it was probably the best play for makeup, costumes, talent and sets, that I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. :cat: It was outstanding, and I think (if I'm correct) it was one of the longest running shows in N.Y. City's history.

I saw it on Broadway, too!! It was really amazing... the plot confused the heck out of me, but I was pretty young and just wanted to see the kitty cats on stage. :)

Wow the park is severely lacking. Which we all know. Is the Legend of JS always closed on the weekend? We have yet to try it, and all 3 of us love the Pirate movies and I heart Capt Jack. But, I can't bring myself to wait in line and then walk around a building. It had just opened on our last trip and the wait was 30-45 min and they were handing out "appointment cards". Is it still like that? I might check it out if I could just walk in.

So what's missing? American Idol? Backlot? but that closed a bit ago.
New to these park maps:
Backlot - Permanently Closed.
Legend of Jack Sparrow - Permanently Closed.

I would LOVE to move south. We're in PA, so not quite as far north as it seems most are on this thread. HOWEVER, it is not south enough for me (and I'm a Jersey Girl). I'm done, done, done with snow. If I never see it again, I wouldn't mind at all.

I think the main problem, is that we get enough snow to be really annoying. And last year was insane:

But, not enough snow that we are used to it and can function when it snows. Does that make sense? Meaning - when it snows, there is nothing to do!! Most won't drive for days!

So - seriously, I'm packing that evac suitcase!
I get that. I try hard not to drive in snow but I do have 4x4 so that helps me but not the other crazy peeps on the road. Last year was insane here

We got snow that stuck in the first days of December and it never stopped through April. Didn't see found until March. Way too deep to even dig out Christmas decorations. I posted photos around valentines day literally digging them out. The decorations about three feet tall were buried and my photo gage for snowfall.

To add more insult we had temps 15 degrees below zero and the entire winter was below 32. Crazy cold.

Yep and we should enjoy it. Did you see what the dang Canadians are sending us next week? When @JenniferS steps off her plane next week she will be a Popsicle. We had a few spotty flurries today that is all so far, we got more last week.
I just saw the forecast this morning. Now "winter weather is a month ahead of schedule" and we could see 4-8" on snow starting Sunday night. Guess I have to put the chains on the tractor tomorrow. Wow, did they miss the mark on the November forecast!!! Now, I think a WDW trip is definitely in order. I just love Christmas time at the World!!!

It was horrible! We were at WDW at the beginning of December last year (which was absolutely great in both weather and crowd sizes) and came home to everything completely frozen over. Then we were also buried with a ton of snow. I had so snow much I was actually pushing it out into the crop fields because I couldn't pile any more along the driveway. The barn cleaner was under 6-10" of ice and I didn't get it thawed out until June. I just hope this year isn't a repeat - I think everyone in North America deserves a break after a frigid winter and the not so great spring and summer...

Change of plans.

Skipping DAK altogether. Going to Downtown Disney instead.

Suits me fine.
I need to go on a Basin shopping spree; to stock up on Mr. Potato parts; and to get my son a t-shirt from Rainforest Cafe.

Lunch at EoS - helloooooo Holiday Sandwich, and then maybe a boat ride for some beignets.

Afternoon FPP's at MK.

Later, Peeps.

My U-Verse which is land line, internet and cable tv has gone up 75% over about 5 years. My only real option is to hop to Comcast who can't keep their entire package from crashing for days frequently in my area.
Thats exactly what I fear. because.. believe it or not.. We're having better internet service in Mexico than in the US now.

100 Mbps/10Mbps line with no throttle or limits, 99 USd a month.
and I keep hearing nightmares of 5Mbps ADSL lines with limits in the US for 50 USD.

I don't have any limits, but $68 a month for DSL. I downloaded a 3 minute song from itunes and it took just over 2 minutes. Most of the time we can't even watch a you tube video because of the down load speed.. :(

First thing I noticed, of course, was the snow. Second thing was the direct vent fireplace on the neighbors house.
Comes with my profession. :)
And yes, we put plenty of fireplaces in homes we design down here. We have occasional sleet, ice, and snow, so it gets cool enough to light a fireplace or two, to help keep a house warm, without having to turn the heater/furnace on as much. And, who doesn't love a warm fire in the fireplace on a cold winters night...?! :)

I took the test that was posted a few months ago. Failed. About 12% of what it should be. My whole package about $225
