They let Jack inside the polls?

Surprisingly, yes. The polls for our precinct are at an elementary school, and they set up the gym for voters. I guess since the dog is on a leash and doesn't bother anyone, they let it slide. Actually, a lot of the voters come over to them and want to meet Jack, and pat his head. What dog doesn't love all this attention?! Jack loves going to vote! :joyfull:

Oh Please!

As if the world is not narcissistic enough there is a new crib baby mobile with a camera attached, when baby reaches to play or moves around the camera takes pictures which then can be uploaded to babies social media account.

I only gave this a "like" because you brought this silly thing to our attention! Goodness gracious, I hope the next generation of kids doesn't grow up with cameras recording their every move, and then having it posted for the world to see online. Ugh. :banghead:

Trails End is the best secret buffet on Disney..shhhh...keep it down. Bread Pudding = Happy Me. Not the best but good enough.

I wish they still had the luncheon buffet at Trails End. It wasn't as extensive as the dinner buffet, but the price was reasonable. It wasn't crowded at that time of day, as most people were out at the parks. Although I've never stayed at Fort Wilderness, I do enjoy going over there (boat from Wilderness Lodge, or bus--bus is longer though and not worth it). It's very peaceful and quite a nice change of pace from the other resorts.

They also have a small, general store/gift shop at FW, not far from Trail's End. I recall chatting with a wonderful CM there for close to 1/2 hour one day (the store was quiet at the time I was there). Had a jovial conversation with him, and it was one of the highlights of that trip to WDW. :)

The breadsticks are my least favorite part, they do nothing for me, go figure, so family eats my share. Did you hear the bean counters are pushing for the bread sticks to be an add on charge now, they figure they could sell each order for $4-5. :cautious: What sit down Italian restaurant does put bread on the table?

I guess Olive Garden isn't so stable now so the Beans are trying to right the ship, sadly those little things can sink the leaking vessel.
This is true...I read the article the day it came out. The bean counters wants less breadsticks on the table and less salad. I have to say that this indeed did happen the last time I went to Olive Garden. We had to ask for more breadsticks. Then again, we don't frequent them very often.

Okay lovely ladies and handsome gentlemen, sorry about all the posts in a row. :( The time change is still kicking my butt and I've been to bed early every night. :)arghh: Make this a yawning smiley.) Practice for Christmas musicals at school have begun and Saturday we start our holiday baking. :) Guess I'll need the sleep.
Practice for Christmas musicals at school? That just brought back so many BAD BAD memories. I had to play the piano for all of them...I think that's why I dislike musicals, broadway, show tunes, child singers, etc...

Continuing on ....
I only ate two of the fish tacos, so for those keeping count, Hubby had 2/3 of the chips & salsa, 4 Tostados, and 6 fish tacos.
Dessert was part of a set menu, based on what we ordered, but it was what I would have chosen anyway.

See that recommended tip amount ...
Well, I am a terrible tipper. There is nothing any server could do that would warrant me leaving $50 (nuh uh, Narcoosees), but this guy earned every cent. I happily left him $20!

And now for an atmosphere shot:

Last time I was there around Christmas time, it was early December 2010. A cold front came in, which took temperatures to around freezing. DW and I rode Astro Orbiter, where she let me hide behind her so I could block the wind from my face. She did not get mad I was a wimp and took the wind in her face like a champ, so I proposed like 30 mins later.

This is so funny, and so sweet at the same time! I also love how you (in a post after this one) proposed to her in front of the castle. This is such an uplifting experience, and I'm so glad you shared it with us. :inlove:

I take my Chloe with me to church every Sunday. She sits there in the pew and doesn't make a sound. During the greetings she scoots down to the end of the pew and everyone pets her and says hello as they go by. She gets so much attention.

Cope, I don't cope. I give DH an evil eye. The master plan has always been to head south. We shall see. Kids both out of college so we shall see what the next decade delivers.

I would LOVE to move south. We're in PA, so not quite as far north as it seems most are on this thread. HOWEVER, it is not south enough for me (and I'm a Jersey Girl). I'm done, done, done with snow. If I never see it again, I wouldn't mind at all.

I think the main problem, is that we get enough snow to be really annoying. And last year was insane:

But, not enough snow that we are used to it and can function when it snows. Does that make sense? Meaning - when it snows, there is nothing to do!! Most won't drive for days!

So - seriously, I'm packing that evac suitcase!

New DHS Park maps today.
Notice what's missing?

Wow the park is severely lacking. Which we all know. Is the Legend of JS always closed on the weekend? We have yet to try it, and all 3 of us love the Pirate movies and I heart Capt Jack. But, I can't bring myself to wait in line and then walk around a building. It had just opened on our last trip and the wait was 30-45 min and they were handing out "appointment cards". Is it still like that? I might check it out if I could just walk in.

So what's missing? American Idol? Backlot? but that closed a bit ago.
