Hondas hold their value too. My dealer offered to buy mine back for $1k less than I bought it for. If they had better inventory on new ones I might have taken them up on it and negotiated a bit.
Another thing I wish about living in the USA lmao.

Here they are outright thieves..
Dealers want you to take a minimum of 20% hit on the value of your car, even if its brand new (3 months used).

And worse.
A few years ago.. we had an issue once.
Where they crashed my mom's brand new's car right when it was on the dealer's hands for the first revision covered by the guarantee.

Everything was their fault. But yeah.. they still forced a 10% price hit to get the newer model. My dad had to use his political contacts to put government pressure on that BS. Because 1) Car was still under guarantee 2) The repairman crashed the car while testing (well a drunk dude hit him as he drove for testing).

Anyway he got a new car.. with only a 5% value hit.
If my dad had not used his contacts, they would probably have gotten away with a 10 to 20% hit.

I don’t know if I mentioned we got rear ended a couple of weeks ago on our way to the Halloween store. Car is in the shop (one month shy of lease end) and I’ve been at the chiropractor every day except Sunday. B has been going 3-4 times per week. We’re fine but backs are acting up. RAV4 needs a new back hatch and bumper.

Going to Vegas tomorrow night (just me) until Tuesday for a Biz conference.

Oh no! Sorry to hear about the accident. Hoping the chiropractor sessions are helping your back, and B's back.

What a bummer to have to deal with the car repairs as well.

Please take it easy when you go out to Vegas. Bring Advil or some other NDSAID to calm your back muscles. Have a good trip, and don't overdue it!!! (Except for eating -- pig out at every buffet you find!) :joyfull:
