Former NY Jet Quarterback Joe Namath is in on it too...IF I was on Medicare, this commercial would certainly tempt me to call the number Bill Shatner promotes.
Yet there are numerous other companies with excellent commercials as well.
Is there any "catch" ? Are these companies dangling a carrot yet maybe there is fine print that might have negative impacts on Medicare covered folks?
I have NO understanding of any of this so please DO assume I know nothing and fill me in on whatever you know.
Thanks!
Steve

The things that they seem to have in common are:There are probably 25 ads making the rounds right now. I'll be so happy when enrollment is over!
Two Flowers and two gardeners... seems just right.
Thank you !Yes @castlecake2.0 you are being paged.
Oh booooi... XDUpdate:
Boss: Are you certain that's a holiday?

The only catch it seems to have is that it is slightly deceiving. For example, the only way you get that $147. extra in your SS check is if you signed on for Part B when you started getting SS payments. If you decided to drop it you will get back your $147 that you had been paying for Part B. One way or the other you will still have to pay for something to cover that. You have to be pretty much living strictly on SS to gain from all that but they will tell you if you are eligible, due to income, to some extra benefits. So it could be good for some people especially for dental. Just like all the rest of our organs our teeth begin to give out as well. And that ain't cheap. They will take your information tell you what you might be able to do and then either give you the numbers, links to contact or pass it along to the groups that offer additional coverage. For some, it is a major help, but my guess is it might be minor or not at all.The things that they seem to have in common are:
"We'll check your zip code to see what you are eligible for"
"You could get more money in your government checks"
"You may be able to pay lower co-pays"
"you may be able to get free dental care".

What IS an example of how this has a catch to it?

In fairness, very few companies give New Years Eve day off. It's not all that common. Proof? Bet you can go to Target, eat and drink in restaurants or bars, call cabs or take a bus, go to the bank or hospitals or a Disney park and more on the 31st.Update:

We agreed that only two was sufficient as well. Didn't guarantee, just didn't try. Now they they have grown up they have remained flowers but I am the only gardener left and they are sometimes more work then before. I, however, have a trick up my sleeve, if history tends to follow a normal process, I am expecting to be the flower before long. There even is a real possibility that it has started already.Yep, they will not be adding a third “Flower”…!!!
All of them to be honest. The things that they seem to have in common are:

20 years ago, it took me 2 hours in bumper to bumper traffic to leave DHS parking lot on NYE to get back to where we were staying. You are lucky.
My dad worked in the electric field before he retired. Before my dad had enough time in the company for days off priority, he was stuck working on holidays. He did get extra money for working holidays, but that does not excuse what deal with for New Years Eve. Also for part of my dad's career, he had to work swing shift and he had to work on New Year's Eve night.
My dad's experiences working at night that late for New Years Eve was so bad that he stays home on New Years Eve even back when his swing shift days ended when I was 10 years old.
He had to avoid people who had no business driving. What I am referring to is people who had too much New Years cheer and were driving.
We had zero. Everyone had either parties at home or went downtown to the festivities. We haven’t had any for years. So I don’t bother with buying candy.
We normally wouldn't get it off, but New Year's Day is on a Saturday, so the Federal holiday is on Friday. So is Christmas Eve this year.In fairness, very few companies give New Years Eve day off. It's not all that common. Proof? Bet you can go to Target, eat and drink in restaurants or bars, call cabs or take a bus, go to the bank or hospitals or a Disney park and more on the 31st.
