Ugh...gotta love rude people. When we were in DLP, there was a lady who kept complaining about everyone. We were at Caseys and it was pretty packed at the lines that were open. There was a lady in front of us who was looking at the menu while her family stood outside. She kept shouting to her husband who was standing by one of the doors. At one point, she left the line completely. We thought they had given up. Then she comes back and expects to have her place in line...whatever, she HAD been in front of us, so we let her back in. Then she called over a manager to complain about the guy in front of her, whom she says cut....he was in front of us the whole time! We tried to tell the manager that no, he had been there, SHE had left the line and come back, but he had been there. She said no, he cut in front of her after she got back in line. The manager actually took her order while we were still standing there, so she effectively cut in front of everyone else. There's also a lane with brail and an ear symbol....it's obviosly the disability line and it was kept free for people with disabilities....you couldn't just get in this line. So I watch a manager actually escort these three people up in that lane...one of them is very obviously disabled. He's not in a wheelchair, but you can just see that he is severely mentally handicapped and it looked like he was probably at least legally blind because he never looked at the menu and his eyes were squinted the whole time and they'd had to lead him up to the register. This woman complains about the people cutting and now they were going to get to order before her when she wasn't allowed to use that lane and she had been standing there longer. I explained to her (she was speaking English, so she wasn't French) that I thought that was the line for disabled customers, that I had seen them escorted up there, and she was actually behind us...we had been in line longer than she had, but the manager ended up taking her order in line, too....so she's getting her food before I've even been able to order...she complains about other people getting to order before her, but has no problem doing the same thing herself. I felt bad for the manager, having to deal with rude people, but I wish he'd have handled it differently...all he did was reinforce their bad behavior so now they expect to be first, and he basically let them cut in front of all the guests who were actually behaving themselves. He could have just explained what the one lane was for, and he could have told the one woman that she had forfeited her place in line when she left. DLP was TERRIBLE with people cutting, line jumping, etc.Just saw perhaps the worst guest behavior I've ever personally seen, and I've seen stuff.
So I'm in Hershey, and I'm injured, so I have a disability pass that allows me to enter through exits and take elevators, which is a good thing because my right ankle is killing me and I can't imagine how it would be if I had to take stairs. Anyway, we went on this one roller coaster, Skyrush, where you go up an elevator and then they let you board right afterward. It seats four across, so they paired us up with another party of two. This woman, in an entirely different row, starts screaming at a ride attendant. I mean, screaming and dropping f-bombs. She was still in line, but she was on the next one. She wanted to know why we were allowed to cut in front of them. The attendent nicely explained that I had a disability pass (I mean, I'm clearly injured; I'm wearing an ugly brace). She still was cussing and pointing to me. I think the ride attendant finally told her she had to get out because she got out of line and flipped him the bird as she went.
It was so unbelievable that I asked the woman next to me if I was seeing what I was seeing correctly. She said yup. We agreed that woman was a Karen.
There is a word that has to be used before any change will happen and the entitled are quieted. That word is NO, it may take awhile, but eventually it will sink in to some very thick skulls. The philosophy being used now is off hundreds to make one entitled happy. Somehow, in my mind, that math does not add up.Ugh...gotta love rude people. Happy national vodka day View attachment 590948
It may just be me, but that combination does not sound particularly enjoyable. Maybe one in the morning and one much later in the day might work. It's up to the individual to decide the sequense.
There was a question on Jeopardy about Elf makeup, and the guy who's on a 30+ game run got it wrong, so they gave him an $8000 gift card.@StarWarsGirl View attachment 591061 a deal on these showed up in my in boxboth shadow sets for $5, they're minis but still an excellent price as the pans aren't super mini by any means
