Just heard something interesting, about the old theme songs from various (usually comedy) shows on TV. Years ago, the full theme songs were played prior to the episode beginning. Nowadays, they've cut down on the (full) time on many of those show songs, so that there is more time available for advertisers. :banghead:

(As a side note, I know they've cut the credits at the end of shows, to fast-moving, tiny font. They don't roll them long enough to read them, like they used to do, years ago. Felt bad for the many people who worked on these various shows, not getting any recognition at the end, anymore.)

The IOC recognized cheerleading as a sport yesterday so now the International Cheer Union can petition to have cheer in the Olympics. I told that to youngest yesterday. She tells me, “ I don’t want to go to the Olympics!” Me trying some reverse psychology cause I love the Olympics, “Well you would have to be the best of the best of the best of the best, so odds are that you wouldn’t make it anyway.” Then she says, “You don’t think I am good enough to go?” Mind you she is just 10. I said, “Well if you don’t want to go then you won’t work as hard as the other kids that want to go. “ She said “I just don’t think I want millions of people watching me. I am ok with thousands, just not millions,” Then I told her that 10 year olds don’t compete in the Olympics anyway. It would take a few years before it is in the Olympics anyway. She thought about it and then said “ok”. I am in no means, by the way, pushing her to go to the Olympics. Just was curious to see how the conversation would go.
Here is a video from Team USA. It is a little different from what youngest does. It has a sideline cheer in the first minute and a half. Youngest doesn’t do sideline, she does All Star (which is like the second part of the routine in the video), and is only Level 1 and 2. These men and women are level 7.

Very impressive...!!! :)
Keep in mind, I’m bein’ totally silly here, but...
What would really impress me is to see those little gals tossin’ those big dudes around...!!!!! :D:hilarious:;)

Not to worry I worked all my life with no recognition and I'm sure they all make a whole bunch more money than I ever did. That would be all the recognition I would need.

Well then, I'd like to give you recognition for all your good work!! :) Well done! Pat on the back and all that! You're a superstar! :joyfull:

(With regard to the people who worked on various TV shows, it was always expected that their names are shown at the end. Now, they do the names and titles; but like I said, they run the credits so darn fast and in negative 100 sized font -- so that no one can even read them anymore.) :( If nothing else, to me it's just a matter of principle, but that gets chucked out the window when the networks realize they can make more advertising money, by offering more ad time. :in pain:
