Have I mentioned this before?
I continue to be annoyed by people using the name "Karen" as an insult.
A "Karen" is now someone to look down on.
This is so unfair to all the nice Karens I've known over the years.
Why should everyone named Karen now feel awkward or unhappy with their name?
Here's the latest example that inspired this post...

Its becoming an stereotype. I find it weird because the number of these people named KARENS.

Still, It still annoys me (if its true) how the victim was ignored and the "karen" got not even called by the police or security.

We can all be against the behavior displayed by people labeled "Karens"....just find another term for it.
I'm sure you agree @Cesar R M

That's funny.
Yet Walmart saves me money.
Target in my town has prices that are nothing special....and the lines to check out are incredibly long. It is not unusual in my local Target to stand in line for 25 to 30 minutes just to purchase something you could have purchased in Walmart for less money...and Walmart has a much quicker checkout too.

I think part of the problem with our Walmarts is that we're too close to Baltimore City and we get the riff raff from down there. They are always a total mess. I went to a Walmart up in PA on my way to Hershey (that's where I got the waterproof phone pouch; I regretted it because the thing leaked) and it was better. The ones I've been in in SC have been nicer too. Although even one I went to out in Cecil County near where one of my friends lives didn't feel particularly safe or clean, and that's way far away from the city, so idk. She says she doesn't feel safe shopping there at night.

Targets are never that way (and I have checked them all out around here...)

Now I understand your point of view.
I'm in a middle class suburb.
My WalMart is safe....clean....has stuff I need at value prices.
A no brainer for ME PERSONALLY.
I totally see your point of view though.

Target is a Minneapolis based company and it is popular around my area and is seen as a little more "upscale" than Walmart. As a kid whenever we went shopping to the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul) it was a treat to go to Target, the store was a little cleaner and brighter than the Walmart, Woolworth, or Shopko (a now bankrupt Wisconsin chain). They has had some more stylish item, and still do to some extent.

I still like Target over Walmart but a Walmart is about 12-15 minute drive from my house and a Target is 40 minutes. So Walmart wins. I will rarely buy meat at Walmart though, it is not as good a quality as the local grocery store or butcher shop. Target sometimes has stuff cheaper than Walmart and sometimes Walmart is cheaper, I try to be aware of prices.

Yeah...it all depends in my area.

We have an upscale shopping area nearby. I've walked around there at night and totally felt safe. It's also got heavy security and is near a police station.

We have a public transportation system called the light rail train. Anywhere the light rail train stops basically either needs heavy security or is just to be avoided because that's where the riff raff from the city comes up. There's a Walgreens that I don't go to because people have gotten robbed there; I go to one about a mile and a half away that's not near a station.

The low prices at the Walmart, in conjunction with it being near a light rail station, attract the riff raff. Target isn't near a light rail station and the slightly higher prices mean it feels a lot safer.

There was one that I used to go to when I was in college because they had Krispy Kreme donuts. It had the same problem in spite of not being near a light rail station. There was a Target nearby. Same thing, worlds different.
