Need some 90’s here asap!
It was warmer in May. Looked ahead at the forecast and I see no 90’s. Only low to mid 80’s for the next month and too many 70’s to count. 😭
It's almost 90 here today already. It's supposed to get up to about 95 Yesterday was upper 80s. I'd rather have your 40s, please!

E went with her friends to a local pond yesterday after school so they could swim and cool off. Tomorrow it's supposed to be mid 80s again, and Saturday it's finally supposed to cool down a bit, thank goodness!

I wouldn't say that we are "dying" of heat in NC. Yes, it is warm but it is summer and summer can get warm. Add to that a bit of climate change and it is a little warmer. However, I have been looking at the boards all winter to a constant display of grieving about how cold it was and how everyone couldn't wait until summer, even sacrificing innocent ground hogs and, I assume, offering them up to the weather gods in the hope that all that cold would stop. Now it's here and the reverse argument is trending once again. Make up your mind folks, hot or cold or perhaps relocation. Life is short my friends, being miserable year round should not be part of that process. 🥶😓😉
Ah, but I think you are mixing up the different camps. I think most of us are pretty consistent about which we prefer. I'd prefer the snow over the heat, because I can do something about the cold...blankets, sweaters, cocoa, etc. Without AC it's hard to combat the heat, and especially at work where I am also doing physical labor in that heat with no AC. Those who threaten the ground hogs because of the cold generally welcome the heat. Yes, there's always someone complaining about the weather, but usually not the same people!

How is your remote teaching going? Any new stories?
I am taking a break from it. Started my break this week actually. It became too much. Would start early at like 5:30 and then start teaching my own at 8 and not get done til sometimes 3. Then getting everything done in the house and after school activities. I felt like I was burning out. Need to focus on myself and my family a little bit more.

I am sure your family supports and even celebrates your decision.

No it has definitely been warm and cool this spring so far. We have hit 90 but then had cool spells like now with lows in the 50s. But, June in NC is usually warmer than we have been recently. The humidity at DD’s has not been normal she said for June.
And humans are going to always want the opposite they have. 🤣

My husband told me to stop months ago but out of guilt I continued. Felt bad for leaving the kids. Then I ended up with a few regulars and they are nearly out of the highest level I teach. So I would no longer see them after they moved on anyway. That is my rationalizing missing the two kids I have known for 3 years. Wish I could share emails or instagram but I am sure it isn’t allowed.
